A bigger concern that the club should note is that 25 mins into the game i went to abuse the facilities. about 10-15 dons fans,(all with abdeen accents anyway) were asking to be let out the game. THATS 25 MINS INTO FIRST HALF. What the hell is that all about.

Something to do with this perhaps?

Up to 100 football hooligans took part in an organised street fight as Brighton and Hove Albion played a pre-season match.

Groups descended on the city to take part in the pre-arranged stand-off.

Residents and publicans locked their doors as two gangs clashed in Grove Hill, Brighton.

A team of 20 police officers stormed the scene and the group scattered in different directions.

Eleven people were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

The clash took place at about 4.30pm on Saturday.

The people in custody were expected to be released on bail late last night.

Langfield is unlikely to be ready for the opener.
Howard's the man in possession so it should be his shirt until he mucks up a couple of times.
Ifil, by all accounts has played well so doesn't deserve to be dropped.

Has he ?

Would that mean Considine was dropped as you would think Diamond would be a starter

EPK you're on the money there I guess

Ifil will play because Considine isn't quite there and as someone points out Foster isn't available..........but that formation certainly suits what we have better.

Just wanted to put my tuppence worth in on this game. Went there and the ground is abysmal. Rickety temporary seats, mostly uncovered and pretty unprofessional set-up. That said, their team is very good. We looked very poor indeed. Poor passing, a lack of pace and a lack of direction really - zero cutting edge. Biggest cheer from us was an ironic "goal" celebration when we took our first shot at goal in the 80th odd minute. I went with a couple of Dandies and a few Brighton fans. Before the game I was pretty confident we'd see a good Dons performance and a win but afterwards I was disappointed to agree with the Brighton fans (who also know the Scottish game) who thought we'd struggle to get mid-table. Really hoping we see a big change in fortunes in the Hamilton game (the German game means nothing to me) but I'm really worried. McArdle looked solid but just not a right-back. To be honest though, a lot of the Brighton play came down their right and Grant Basey didn't really excell himself.

PLUS POINTS:

When Fyvie came on he looked sharp and was our best player by a mile.
Hartley got a good shift but I must say he didn't really shine.
Pawlett looked good when he came on.
Maguire looked in good shape and did a lot right although missed a golden chance to score by dithering.

SUMMARY: Must do better AFC but for goodness sake play Fyvie and Pawlett!!
