Refugee helpers you see on the news.

The pat on the back attention seeking cunt types.

Why don't you help your own people who are in dire straits, why you helping refugees settle in? Oh I know, cause helping your own doesn't get you in the media.

Cunts.

Refugee helping is a bigger story than opening a local food bank.

It's likely the kinds of people who help refugees also help natives who are in dire straits.

Of all the things to be angry about my friend, this really isn't one of them.

First time I met @ebbe in the flesh I’d spent the previous evening helping out at a homeless shelter soup kitchen.

Following day we destroyed a copious amount of pinger on route to Hibs away.

i wouldn’t help a refugee.

Make of that what you will.

?????????

Yeeeeeeeahhhhhh sure.

Social media generation.

What's that got to do with social media or a generation?

I don't think it's naive to suggest that those inclined to help refugees have done their fair share of helping natives.

It's the kind of people they are.

You can sneer at it all you like, and make bad faith assumptions, but I disagree with that.

Aye one look at you and they must think you need charity. Must be a pain in the arse having to argue otherwise.

No that’s not it Brian. I just feel that charity begins at home. I don’t mind buying the odd raffle ticket at a gala but I’m not one for donating money to causes. Dropping stuff I no longer need at the local thrift shop about my charitable limit.
