AFC have decided that when any of their 2007 development squad players get binned, they insist (or as much as they are allowed to anyway) that these binned players go to East End Lewis, so that they can keep a collective eye on them and monitor their progress.

Which has resulted in that team winning everything in sight for the last 3 or so years, as they have snaffled up all the other decent players from the other youth teams.

Yesterday, they got beat by Dyce, and I for one am fucking delighted.

Dyce equally as bad if you ask me. Folding any team that doesnt look like it will compete to win the A league. Arseholes.

Aye, that's a fair point.

Funny thing was, my loon's team humped Dyce twice last season and I reckon they were on the verge of folding that particular age group, but all of a sudden, they retooled and are looking very strong this season. I have no idea where they have sourced these new players from because as I said, East End Lewis snaffle up the best of the rest; case in point, they lured away our our striker 2 weeks ago.

Maybe it's just better coaching?

Way, way back in the day, 80’s and early 90’s I played for BSFC before moving abroad and no, I didn’t move abroad to join Real Madrid or Barcelona or the like - I could have done though apart from one fairly significant fact- I was crap/

Brilliant. We are on the same hymn sheet on that one. Some of the shit that came out of his gob two weeks past Sunday, put it this way, just as well he was in the opposite touchline from us parents. His assistant does fuck all coaching, he’s just there in case it all kicks off.

Folk say to me, you can’t blame boys for moving to the top boys club, as they want to win things. So, same as me switching allegiances and going to support one of the cheeks, then? Same fucking thing as far as I’m concerned.

Danny Innes the assistant? He's actually pretty sound.

The manager I've not heard good things about I must confess.

This is an exciting new twist for the hat.

Childrens football 😂

I used to coach Middlefield Wasps girls team at under 11s before Covid.

Unfortunately team folded. No funding for the girls team really. Bashing head against the wall but they liked to be seen as diverse.

Were they fuck. Was all about the success of other male teams.

I enjoyed it though... Would happily go back into the coaching side again but not with Middlefield.

I know where this is going 😂.

I'm not sure of this info.

I do know in my time of meeting Danny, he has been pleasant enough.

Goalkeeper's dad is the main coach I think, he is a knob.

There is an assistant who I think is of eastern european heritage, massive boy, looks like he's roided up. He appears to do fuck all.

He always came across as one of the sound bouncers when working on the doors.

Nice guy by all accounts.

I was approached about coaching one of my kids team a few months ago. Good to say after all the rigmarole of getting the proper qualifications needed (what an absolute farce) your’s truly will now go on and win the league with my well trained players. No mucking about, we will be a fast, attacking and aggressive team. Move over Kjetil Knutsen!

I know. Been taking them for coaching for quite a few weeks now and seeing the difference between those who put in full effort and those who just want to be with their friends. They are definitely coming on a lot better though. I was doing free kicks with them last week and a few really surprised me. I had to do a first aid course through the SFA even though I already had a qualification. I have already been told to not shout a referee’s etc 😂 but I believe if we play the way they are taught we don’t need to worry about refereeing.

Been there, done that and while we went into it with high hopes, confidence and ambition it turned into a fucking shit show after a few years.

Kids on the whole were excellent, parents were the #1 issue - dad's coaching from the side lines (but not wanting to get involved with the actual coaching), parents getting pissed off when little Johnny is a sub, parenting cliques, parents telling you 5 mins prior to kick off that their child can no longer play etc etc. And don't get me started on the ADJFA, YSFA paperwork etc.

Best of luck . I am sure you will get on with the kids. On their level after all.

The fathers maybe not so much .

🤣 i get on with anyone. I wonder when the rule, letting the parents at the pitch side will be brought back into play. For some reason if kids are playing on a bit surrounded by a fence, barrier etc the parents have to stay behind the obstacles. Only coaching staff allowed at pitch side. What a farce! I don’t mind a bit banter back and forth with the spectators. What has modern football turned into? I will start the mind games with the refs and opponents as soon as I see them. Bring it on.

Agreed, kids are generally fine (at least until you get into the teens) but the parents and admin are a complete nightmare, never again.

Think they folded after the youth coach was locked up for fiddling?
