Where Are They Now

Robert Fik... 26 year old Dutch amateur striker who Calderwood compared to Steve Bull. Because that's the kind of shite Calderwood came away with.

Ultimately decided remaining in the amateurs in the Netherlands was a better option than joining Aberdeen's Class of 2007-08.

Robert would NOT go on to bigger and better things, and seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth... indeed there are only two pictures of him on Google, one is a grainy mugshot from an Aberdeen paper

And the other one is this...

It's a case of 'What If' for Robert.

If he'd grabbed the chance to play for Jimmy's Team he would have gone on to play in the group stages of European competition, following Mackie's 'Million Pound Goal' that put the Dons through at the expense of Dnipro a few months later.

Instead...

...what happened to Robert Fik?

Been reading about Big Sam and how his goal is going to 'open the floodgates', plus other well used clichés.

"Town, meanwhile, welcome Crewe in their first Papa John's Pizza Trophy group tie"

How could he possibly be content swapping the glamour of AFC for playing in the guff pizza cup? ?

Cash and fucking lots of it.

He'd get his cut of the transfer fee, a nice signing on bonus from Birmingham and a decent pay rise. If Birmingham have realised that they bought a dud and have loaned him out to Shrewsbury within 6 months that's Birmingham's look out. Cosgrove will be comfortable for life on the contract they've given him
