Roberto 2,388 Posted July 8, 2018 Chuck Liddell making a comeback against Tito Ortiz... I'm not even lying. Share this post Link to post
Quagmire 530 Posted July 9, 2018 It was a good card last Saturday night apart from the shite at the end with Brock and the Ngannu/Lewis fight. Few good knock outs and wars. If you look past the Connor/Brock style shite its probably at the highest standard its ever been. Most divisions are stacked with decent fighters and younger ones coming through. Costa, Rountree and Dan Hooker all looked like beasts yesterday. Cody v TJ and Dustin Poirier v Eddie Alvarez should be great fights over the next month. Share this post Link to post
Roberto 2,388 Posted July 9, 2018 Presume that Irish cunt and the serial puller out of fights haven't scheduled a fight yet? Presume it has been spoken of, lots though? I want to like UFC but when I see folk like Lesnar at the weekend entering the octagon acting hald as well as thon CM Punk cunt, I can't take it seriously. Share this post Link to post
The Boofon 4,557 Posted July 9, 2018 It's always been as fake as the wrestling IMO. Shambles. Sells tickets to stupid Americans though so fair play to the cunts. Share this post Link to post
tightbreeks 177 Posted July 9, 2018 I can see the yanks losing interest with all these Eastern Europeans and Russians starting to dominate. They need conor mcgregor back scrapping asap. Share this post Link to post
minijc 967 Posted July 9, 2018 Really? Confirms it as a pile of pish.Nothing to do with the UFC, Golden Boy promotions are putting that on as De La Hoya tries to get in to that side of the fighting business. Share this post Link to post

Once he's signed, it's locked in. Getting him in to the cage is another matter at the moment. Lesnar is legit. Well past it though. CM Put k is another matter though. Guaranteed ppv draw and I can see why they did it. Giving him a second fight was more of an issue. Liddell and Ortiz is not taking place in UFC though. Disgrace of a fight. redstrummer 244 Posted July 10, 2018 Watched a fair bit of this only because the loon is mad for it . Enjoyed watching a lot of good fights , like the difference in the ground work and the tactical stay on your feet approach . Certainly not like the staged wrestling someone mentioned earlier Share this post Link to post

Agreed on last point. Share this post Link to post

Punk wasn't pointless from a money making point of view but it was obvious he'd never make it. Share this post Link to post

Bisping announced before the first that punk had lost something like 15 out of 16 full sparring fights. It was a bucket list thing for him, but I agree he has nothing. He'd lost a few fights during his time as a wrestler so it wasn't like he was a bad ass going in to it. Share this post Link to post

boboisared 1,582 Posted July 12, 2018 Sparring fights? Wrestling fights? Sorry, what? During his training for his first fight he had sparring fights with camp mates/training partners. Only won one. During his time as a professional wrestler he had several real fights with colleagues etc. Lost them all. Share this post Link to post
Quagmire 530 Posted July 12, 2018 You dont lose when you're sparring Bob. He might have got the shit kicked out of him but its never win or lose mate. Share this post Link to post

Fantastic striker against someone with a fantastic ground game. Careful though. Khabibs record of making it to fight night is not great. Willing to take the chance as I can get free hotel, wouldn't book the flights until closer to the time though, I'll be in Vancouver anyways. Share this post Link to post

If you search for some videos of Khabib on his feet you'd probably be embarrassed for him. Share this post Link to post
Quagmire 530 Posted August 6, 2018 Wouldn't say it's over if Khabib takes him down. He's failed to finish a good few people. Couldn't take out Al Laquinta over 5 rounds. If McGregor doesn't ko him within 3 then reckon Khabib will win though. McGregors gas tank is questionable and he's been out for ages. Great last two fights on Saturday. Hopefully see a TJ v Cruz rematch soon. Share this post Link to post

Quagmire 530 Posted August 6, 2018 Yeah he can be, was a lot of pressure on him cos now he's left out in the cold a bit. TJs just a much better martial artist. Codys a good boxer but TJ's far too intelligent for him. Think he would beat him 9/10 times. Codys books a good read. Thought he was a bit of a dick in the build up to the first match and TUF but comes across better in the book. TJ beats Dom. DJ gets gets his belt back then they fight at 125 would be the best scenario now. Share this post Link to post
