Wrong. Where does it say they paid compensation in there?

A ‘small’ donation to their community programme is all it says ? basically a couple of grand ?

Both clubs essentially realised that any court case would end up costing either (losing)  club a lot more in fees than anything else so they came to an agreement to save money & not drag it out.

neither club were confident in their case (as it was never done before really) & they also wouldn’t have seen the point in it for a player such as him.

Precontracts are not really worth a shit as I said. Player/signing club can easily back out of them without too much hassles & if Souttar’s injury is bad enough I have little doubt that Sevco will at very least offer him a far smaller wage if they don’t back out completely, such as the scum they are

£40,000 “compensation” according to this article

You know you’re getting desperate when you’re looking to the daily retard to try & support your argument ?

A made up figure ‘believed’ to be £40k?

plus contradicting the other link where the club are actually quoted saying no ‘fee’ was paid but their chairman made a ‘contribution’ to the community programme

basically none of the clubs were confident of winning had it gone to court & as a result they settled it to save stupid court fees for a paltry figure

Daily fkn Sevco ffs ?

just accept that pre-contracts are easily gotten out of & basically aren’t worth a shite. They are basically not much more than a  ‘gentleman’ agreement & easily torn up if a player gets injured, especially from a club with zero morals

Ref RSB penalty.  Yup.  Fantastic save.  Huge for them.  So is the foot on the line thing a rule or not?

Apparently not.

Referee

Local Oranje lodge in Haarlem will be delighted with his efforts.
As will his compatriot in the hun dugout.

FFS can VAR & the ref not see that Ryan Kent has clearly lost control of the ball?

Never a penalty.

Fuck the hun scum.

Edit - the rapist cunt was also off his line when saving the penalty. Is VAR not supposed to see that?

You don’t need control of the ball to be awarded a penalty. You don’t even need to be near the ball.

As long as the ball is in play you can get a penalty for an offence in the box. Could be the keeper decking someone off the ball for example.

Is The Scotsman more to your liking ?

There’s that made up figure of £40,000 again.   As opposed to your not-at-all-made-up “couple of grand”.  You’ll be able to provide your source for that. And , presumably , countless examples of PCA’s being “easily gotten out of” and “easily torn up”

I won’t hold my breath though

I used to referee and once gave a penalty because the goalkeeper caught the ball and then kicked the opposition center forward up the arse. Had to send the daft sod off too.

‘Sources’ told the rag that they’d paid them ‘around’ £40k ?

same sources the record used? Or maybe the record was the Scotsman’s source?

Ffs give it up. Ross co are quoted as saying their chairman gave a small contribution to St’s community programme.

not a fee. Basically a courtesy contribution payment to end all the arguing & save both clubs potentially higher court fees.

Are you honestly trying to still argue that pre-contracts aren’t basically worth fk all & aren’t easy as fk to tear up/get out of. Especially for an unscrupulous club like Sevco?

in any case. This is just an example of a player getting out of a pre-contract then signing for his same club.

Huns can easily tell souttar to fk off if he has injured himself again ‘with a small contribution to him’ but they would probably try to even avoid that

Pre-contracts are worth nothing more than basically ‘gentleman’s agreement’ all dependent of the parties involved & their honour/morals

Whilst Souttar is still a Hearts player the Huns can easily escape the ‘pre-contract’ agreement as it doesn’t actually come into effect until his Hearts contract ends in summer.
The whole debate over Brittan was that his contract had ended & County ‘according to St’s’ then offered him a deal to stay at them after he requested staying for personal/family reasons. Which of course County denied. But their whole argument all started AFTER his current contract had ended.
