Ryan Edmondson: Carlisle United sign Leeds United striker

On a free

Salary wise, a pricey loan from what i recall. Offered very little on the park prior to injury. Very poor strike rate since his time at Pittodrie, fitting he's followed in Cosgrove's footsteps by signing for Carlisle.

One of my biggest gripes about McInnes final season was dropping Bruce Anderson in favour of Edmondson. 60 minutes of high balls Bruce had no chance of getting on the end of and that was him done.

Daily Record wasting no time in flipping the Martin Boyle to Hibs link to Martin Boyle to Ibrox, because Craig Moore says so. Similar to the non-story they ran a couple of weeks back when linking Ellis Simms with the Huns because Kenny Miller said they should go for him.

Incredible arrogance shown in the piece. A disregard not just for Hibs but for Al Faisaly, who are seemingly irrelevant to the situation. Can only hope that if Sevco do go knocking, there's a Sevco price and that price is at least a couple of million north of what Hibs would have to pay.

The strengthen by weakening the opposition mentality is very much alive & well it seems.

It wouldn’t be the most shocking signing though. He’s a damn good player and sevco could afford his wages no problem. He is also well in the hun category of being a cheating diving tosser.
Plus it would allow them to sell and replace Kent who they need to cash in on soon.

Ex Saint, McCarthy, signs for Barnsley and calls them "a massive club".

It's absolutely amazing what a few extra bob does to the brain cells of an already thick fuck.

To be fair the sentence leading up to the "massive club" statement he said the stadium and training facilities are great. Looking at the stadium and training facilities at St mirrey, they probably are "massive" compared.

Who gave you a few extra bob , like ?

Barnsley .....over 10K season tickets sold last season.  Average home of gate over 12,700.

Not unreasonable to call them massive in comparison to St Mirren.

Very good but regardless of your researching of the Tykes fan base they are not a massive club.

They may have a bigger infrastructure than St Mirren but that does not constitute being classed as a massive club.

Other comments on this thread are correct though the bollocks that players spout off when they sign for a new club, kissing the badge and all that.

I think it's a good move for him, their manager Thomas Franks is good at bringing players on, more Scottish players in the EPL the better especially if they play like he will

Good at hiding in attics an all.

I didn't know they were in that league being honest.  Be good for the lad to play against class like John McGinn and Ronaldo.

Agree. If he’d gone to Arsenal he’d have only played when Tierney was injured.
