Supplemented by a few existing older guys Which is what we should have done rather than overloading with older players from the off. We were already on the back foot in the summer, due to McInnes’ latter signings and the onerous contracts they were on, but we exacerbated matters by signing 6 new players over 30, some no doubt on stupid wages. A task that was already difficult enough was made a whole lot worse, and will take more than a few windows to fix. Edited January 6 by sooth_stander Share this post Link to post

I guess the only "benefit" if you can call it one is that most of the over 30's signed were only on two year deals. Hopefuly get guys like Ojo, Hayes, McGinn, Kennedy and Devlin off the wage bill by the summer (if not earlier) will allow for some more wiggle room in the wage budget. Need our head of recruitment to show his worth Share this post Link to post
Ten Caat 1,087 Posted January 6 Clyde 1 "debating" (actively encouraging would be a better description) sevco possibly signing John Souttar and Celtic possibly signing Martin Boyle. Naturally the natives on both sides are all for them Here's hoping Souttar signs a pre-contract with an English side in the next few days (even better if he signs a new deal with Hearts) and Hibs say that Boyle isn't for sale at any price. I wouldn’t mind Boyle going to the Tims. It weakens Hibs significantly but doesn’t strengthen the Tims. Share this post Link to post

It would just be for a bit of fun and to beat the two from Glasgow. In all honesty, if I was in the position that Davie Cormack has I reckon i would easily accomplish it. It might cost a few quid but the joy of being the best team in the country will be well worth it. Share this post Link to post

He was good at Dundee Utd, but that was a long time back and he’s done nothing of note since. St. J have a real shot at relegation. I'll go 3rd game for his first red card. My guess is he'll do next to nothing, finish the season with three goals, two of them against us. Edited January 7 by Jigsaw666 1 Share this post Link to post

Mental injury counts as long term injury so I guess it’s 50/50 then Share this post Link to post
