Inferior Clubs Games In Spfl

Recommended Posts

We are likely to have less possession and are far less mobile going forward than Motherwell so likely to try and mass defend and break at “pace”. If we had a solid defence and midfield with actual pace that might even work. If we keep it under three I’ll be slightly impressed. I can certainly see our defence missing runners and leaving gaps as big as Motherwell have. Just sack Glass.

It’s the type of game this shower raise their game. We still lose but then the club start parroting rubbish about being on the right track. We then follow that up with 3 abject performances that have us humiliated again. Proof of the fact Glass is not fit for the job he has been given and not earned

I’ve written off the Tims game.
Whatever the bookies are offering on Celtic -2, take it.

The sad thing is, as bang average as Motherwell are, I’ve all but written off the Cup tie at Fir Park, given our embarrassing away from & the man we have in charge picking the team & the tactics.

Two defeats & Cormack better make the right call.
I’m not even convinced he would.

So in summary as long as we can defend, as long as we can break at pace and as long as they don’t have midfielders like Rogic and Hetate to break the lines and midfielders like Macgregor who can find them we’ll be fine.

Arse.

Charlie Cook being a flash in the pan again

Missed a penalty. And then 10 minutes later bounced back to score a cracker of a goal to get the win for County and he is still the top scorer in SPFL. And he’s a winger. And he plays for the team that is 10th in the league. I wish that we had a “flash in the pan” winger like that on our team.

So we could play him left back?

No, we’d still play him as a left winger but Ojo-style, ie he’s not allowed to take the full back on, he must slow down the play, he must take 6 touches when 1 will do, and all shots must go miles over the bar, preferably out of the stadium.

Realistically in Scotland, 3rd plus a cup is a great season for our clubs. We'll always aim higher. But the disparity in finances is huge. They're always going to be able to deliver these results.

Some hard questions of Neilson all the same. And we're still transitioning.

Personally think we'll improve on Moore, Boyce, Ginnelly, GMS, etc in summer. Whilst Souttar will be our only quality loss.

All that said. Hearts record away in Glasgow to them both is exceptionally bad. Over years. That needs to be looked at.
