Him using his laugh for comedic effect is a crine tho, as is the eyes thing after every joke. Was watching some 2004/2007 Gervais standup the other nicht - must be hard to be a comic these days now all the taboo topics have been done to death. Carr just made similar jokes Gervais did about rape/disableds/blacks/murdered hookers/cancer patients etc. Funny in places, a bit hackneyed now tho. Link to comment

Jigsaw666
Reginald D Hunter in Perth tonight. Seems like somebody who would be good to have a pint with but not what you could ever call an A lister for stand up. Think his delivery leaves something to be desired and the material itself very much "meh". Link to comment

Jigsaw666
Chris Rock in Birmingham. Overall pretty decent and his warm up guy Rick Ingraham was good value too. AS an aside, that was my first visit to Birmingham. Was cool place to be. Picked a good location close to the arena and nightlife spots. Enjoyable couple of days all in all. Link to comment

Jigsaw666
Alan Partridge, Glasgow Hydro. Overall not great. One genuine LOL sketch but undeniable Coogan's lost the knack of doing Partridge well. Too often neither voice nor mannerisms quite hit the mark. Disappointing, though the happy clappers seemed pleased enough. Link to comment

Gervo seems a man very happy in his own skin. Fattened and rich ( he never stops mentioning it ), he pushes all the right buttons and gives a good hour. I really liked this show. Couple or five moments when I laughed out loud which I don't remember doing before watching his other specials. Decent stand up. Got fat again though the fat cunt. Link to comment
