Hendry definitely went downhill after last world title but hung around the top 16 or 32 for a good decade after, he most certainly didn’t retire soon after.

Didn’t realise he has made a fairly recent ill fated comeback. Embarrassing stats and should probably stick to commentary and the senior circuit. 

Yeah I probably should've said gave up rather than retired. I practised in the same club as him as a kid. He went from playing 6/7 hours a day 6 days a week to a couple of hours every other day after winning that 7th.

And his comeback is a joke. Puts in no effort and should have his tour card taken off him.

It's not a 'comeback'.  He's just killing time and probably getting well paid for it.

Yeah he keeps saying it's not a comeback. God knows what it is then. He'll be getting nothing in prizemoney really but he'll get a lot in sponsorship and exposure for his youtube channel

It totally destroyed his confidence.He also got older and lost his hunger for it.

Ronnie appears to be phoning it in most of the time, and also has his own demons.

The current crop of players appear overawed by him, and half beaten before the first frame.
