Aberdeen B have been drawn to play Brora Rangers, away from home, in the 1st Round of the SPFL Trust Trophy. The game will be played on 9/10 August.

The sides also met at the same stage of the competition last season with the young Dons winning 1-0 thanks to Michael Ruth’s second half goal.

The winner of that match will play Hearts B or Buckie Thistle in the 2nd Round.

Finn Yates signs on a 2 year deal at Falkirk, their fans are ecstatic, have we missed a trick here?

I was very surprised we jet him go, but can only assume management think we have a plethora of young midfielders coming through the ranks and unfortunately for Yates, he’s the odd man out.

An Aberdeen XI drew 1-1 with American college team Washington Huskies today at Cormack Park .This team beat Nairn County 6-0 at the weekend and are managed by Jamie Clark son of Bobby Clark.I can remember Bobby Clark bringing a Dartmouth College team to Balgownie and beating an Aberdeen reserve team with some style.Wonder if anyone was there this afternoon and can give their reflections.Getting lazy and didn't make it to Cormack Park.

Need more details about the AFC line-up and the perceived standard of the opposition before deciding the appropriate level of embarrassment at this result.

Although St Johnstone didn’t sign him after his trial either?

Finn Yeats is a good player He will do fine at Falkirk. His wholehearted approach did lead to indiscipline and he was sent off at Brora one night but the team rallied to win 1-0.Over the years the list of 'great prospects' who are then soon after freed is a long one.
