The Cockney Don 699 Posted December 10, 2019 Thanks Cockney Don.St Johnstone v Dundee United is on Tuesday night 7pm at McDiarmid Park.No good reason Aberdeen couldn't have welcomed Montrose to Pittodrie last Friday night. How is the Cormack Park Arena match day experience.I notice the all conquering u18s have been patchy in the two matches at their new home.Postponed. It's a case of when they get a chance. Connor Barron is the stand out and will be getting first team games before end of season. Edited December 13, 2019 by RUL Share this post Link to post

graham 73 Posted December 19, 2019 Aberdeen Reserves played Rangers Reserves at the Rangers training ground on Monday. It was a fairly enjoyable and entertaining game.Rangers winning 2-1 with a goal in the last minute.Aberdeen took the lead with a fine turn and shot from Lloyd Robertson after Connor McLennan and Dean Campbell had combined well with Dean's pass an example of his fine passing and distribution the over an hour he played.First time I had seen Michael Ruth and was quite impressed.Sometimes, odd, awkward running style, but some great skills and close control on the left wing.A right back played as Trialist for the Young Don's and had a good game.Irish centre half Luke Turner sported a beard that John Greig himself would have been proud of circa 1972.Rangers young sub Ross McCausland turned the game and scored a superb 25 yard strike and Ciaran Dickson fired home Rangers winner right at the end.First time I have watched Bruce Anderson in a reserve match for ages and he had not obliged with a goal.Aberdeen definitely deserved a draw overall. RUL 1,203 Posted December 19, 2019 Sounds like a good outing. Not sure if confirmed but think U18's finish the year tomorrow with a game at Morton. Share this post Link to post
strachanmcgheegoal 981 Posted December 19, 2019 From the little I’ve seen of him Ruth seems to have a good head on him (not just the hair). Clever. Seemed to know where to be and when to be there. Share this post Link to post

sooth_stander 501 Posted December 20, 2019 I suspect he (Ruth) will get some game time towards end of season in first team. There's nothing in McInnes' DNA that would make me agree with that comment. Ahead of Bruce Anderson, who gets fuck all game time? Share this post Link to post

I think Ruth style appeals to McInnes more than Bruce. Cannot see how Bruce will stay at Aberdeen long term under McInnes. Share this post Link to post

graham 73 Posted December 28, 2019 (edited) Aberdeen u18s will now host St Johnstone u18s in the SFA Youth Cup quarter final.Probably at Cormack Park,Eoin Jess pitch on Friday 24th January 2020.Recently beat St Johnstone away 2-1 thanks to Michael Ruth double,so eminently winnable tie.St Johnstone u18s eventually beat Dundee United u18s 4-2 at Kelly Hearts ground.Aberdeen u18s will now host St Johnstone u18s in the SFA Youth Cup quarter final.Probably at Cormack Park,Eoin Jess pitch on Friday 24th January 2020.Recently beat St Johnstone away 2-1 thanks to Michael Ruth double,so eminently winnable tie.St Johnstone u18s eventually beat Dundee United u18s 4-2 at Kelty Hearts ground.
