graham 73 Posted July 28 Thanks Cockney Don,that is a good game and a winnable tie.Could be a pleasant evening outing to Christie Park, usually 8pm kick off for these Aberdeenshire Cup ties. Share this post Link to post

Don't be too down heartened St Mirren, it's only 3 points!! Share this post Link to post

graham 73 Posted August 1 Notice that talented young Aberdeen winger Kevin Hanratty,on loan just now at Forfar, is now going by the moniker Kevin Graeme Taylor. He has a bit of a name for diving and maybe has turned over a new leaf and will now try and stay on his feet.Hope so, as his tendency to simulation is the only thing that lets him down. graham 73 Posted August 4 Sorry,I am maybe a bit harsh on Kevin.I like him as a player and he is a very skilful and exciting winger and wish him well. Share this post Link to post

graham 73 Posted August 5 Kevin is a good player, but he is struggling for game time at Forfar, coming on after the hour at the weekend. The one I have high hopes for as the breakthrough player this year is Ryan Duncan. Share this post Link to post

Yes, agree with that, but with the plethora of wingers at Pittodrie now, Duncan’s not going to get much game time, is he? Cove are short on numbers, might be a good move for him, for 6 months anyway The U18s are in action this afternoon, away to Celtic I think Edited August 5 by sooth_stander Share this post Link to post
graham 73 Posted Friday at 11:22 PM The signing of these household names and superstars Shayden Morris and Callum Roberts is not good news for Ryan Duncan, and indeed my old hero Connor McLennnan. A manager will always play his own marvellous new signings before existing youngsters at the club.Under 18s defeat at Barrowfield today probably a more accurate reflection of how the team is doing than the exceptional 9-0 win over St Mirren at Cormack Park in the opening league match . Tommy 3,545 Posted Saturday at 07:12 AM Apparently the score didn’t reflect the actual game. We started with a 14 year old while Celtic utilised an experienced squad. According to AFC report on game. Share this post Link to post
graham 73 Posted Saturday at 07:37 AM Aberdeen are always starting with 14 year olds and playing very young sides and then getting well beat .Young 14 year old Jamie Mercer was taken off at half time.Fielding 14 and 15 year olds gives a young Aberdeen side a free pass should they get beat by these vastly experienced 17 year olds. strachanmcgheegoal 980 Posted Saturday at 01:05 PM Experienced but can’t deny the talent on show either. They’ve half the Scotland u18 line up playing for them have they not? Share this post Link to post
graham 73 Posted Sunday at 10:23 AM That was nice to see the young Aberdeen team that won a big tournament in the summer taking a bow at half time Beat some stellar teams to win the trophy.Well done Share this post Link to post

Hibs athletic destroyer (6) is decent but he’s on a knife edge and getting zero protection from Beaton. Share this post Link to post
The Cockney Don 699 Posted Monday at 02:10 PM On 7/4/2022 at 3:34 PM, The Cockney Don said: Aberdeen B have been drawn to play Brora Rangers, away from home, in the 1st Round of the SPFL Trust Trophy. The game will be played on 9/10 August. The sides also met at the same stage of the competition last season with the young Dons winning 1-0 thanks to Michael Ruth’s second half goal. The winner of that match will play Hearts B or Buckie Thistle in the 2nd Round. Tomorrow night the game, 7.30pm kick off. Share this post Link to post
graham 73 Posted Monday at 02:48 PM Michael Ruth at Queen of the South now.A very unlucky Aberdeen career. The pandemic was not kind to him. Outstanding for the Youth and B teams then like Connor Barron denied thanks to the lockdown the chance to play in the Youth Cup final he had helped Aberdeen reach with fine goals v Rangers.Favouritres to win that final v Kilmarnock.Instead , inherited by managers that didn't rate him and drifted out on loan to Arbroath and Falkirk and made his only Aberdeen appearances when he had already been told he was getting freed .
