Hi Bruce.

Do you really think I would name my own son after myself?

Well he is saying a big summer ahead for him , I hope he is not getting his head filled with the thoughts of him being a commodity that is perused

in my opinion commit to a year at the dons under a recognised “ strikers coach” see if you cut it or improve and then be in a better position to either stay with the dons who will be much improved or move on

My hope is he turns down our contract & we get £200k or whatever in training compensation.

Unlikely anyone would want to pay that though.

He’ll probably end up re-signing.

You would imagine that Hearts are the only club that could afford to cough up £200k or so for his development fee that are showing any interest.

However if Hamilton want him (no evidence that they do yet) I'd be happy to let him go there in a swap for Odoffin. He'd be the defensive squad player that we need to back up Gallagher and whoever we bring in as first choice to partner him. Might chip in with a few goals for us too as a genuine set-piece threat....probably at least as many as Anderson would.

Can guarantee one of the below happens if he gets a new deal

1) He will be absolutely horrendous

2) He will find his form then join jack and wright at the huns at the first opportunity

Considering most of our own fans don't rate him I can't see Steven Gerrard rating him......

If he seriously wants to be starting week in week out then he shouldn’t be signing a new deal with us.

Does the £200k still apply if Anderson moves to some diddy English team?

No, the compensation is significantly less as it’s cross boarders.

Only info I can find related to the huns so won’t post link to those cunts but it goes on about Ings from Burnley to Liverpool.
Liverpool paid 6.5 million plus add ons but if Ings had joined a Scottish club Burnley would’ve only received 270k as the formula set out be FIFA (cross boarders) is different to that set out by the FA

No it isn't. There is a standard FIFA formula for working out development fee payments due on cross border transfers

Within England, their PFCC has a different arrangement for development fees if a player joins another English club.  That is why Charlton were so keen for Joe Aribo to join another English club and were gutted/furious that he chose to join sevco. They got £300k using the FIFA formula whereas the PFCC would have more than likely ordered an English club to pay well in excess of a million. Scotland chooses to use the FIFA formula for intra Scotland transfers

What a surprise, the English use a different formula to see even more inflation in their joke of a market 🙄

What's he done at Hamilton to prove he can play at this level, score 2 goals and none since, in 5 games?

Anderson, unfortunately, has had enough opportunity for me and has fallen short.

We require a better standard of striker I'm afraid.

Hamilton in the championship is probably Bruce's level, although he didn't perform particularly well when on loan at Ayr.

This time last year most on here were wanting rid of Wright and Hedges

Hedges and Wright had something about them though, even when they were off the boil at times.

I've yet to see anything in Anderson to make me think he'll make it at this level.  I'd love to be proven wrong, and maybe he does need to work in a different setup, but he's hardly set the world alight at Aberdeen, Ayr or Hamilton.

2 year deal and a season long loan to Hamilton looks a no brainer now.

Hey I’m happy enough with that if Russel assesses as such. Give the lad a chance is all I say

Has anyone checked on the well being of “fine n dandy”?

Last seen heading for the Livi club shop?...

Yup

Anderson's 2 goals in 19 this season show what a quality player we are losing ...

And 2 in 11 at Accies, none in his last 9.

Still wish the lad well, good move for him to get a 3 year contract & presumably decent game time.

It’s a good move for him.

JET coming our way in place of Anderson I’m not particularly arsed about. Hopefully works out.

Started well at accies but ultimately showed he’s nowhere near the standard we require at the club.
