Whilst both Anderson and Shankland may have had attitudes a good manager/coach/motivator will work to get the best out of the players... and they can both feel let down by Beardy McTwatface because he thought they were too big for their boots...  Would hope we go all in for Ross County's Cook this summer...

?‍♂️ I still maintain he never got any kind of fair crack of the whip with us. The few starts/longer games he got he was basically hung out to dry. None more so than that Hearts away game. 
 

The boy has something. Yeah he’s no star but he has more than enough to be a decent SPFL striker (especially in a two) & a fk ton more about him than that useless cunt JET.

anderson did get a few chances but they were sporadic. Never a run. Cosgrove and Ramirez were seemingly cool to have about 8 shite games with no goals scored in a row but keep their place

Anderson made the right decision then. 

He's the main man at Livingston, he would have been back up to Ramirez here so probably would have about 2 or 3 goals in about 15 appearances off the bench.

Could have played off the wing, couldn’t have been any worse than Kennedy, McLennan, jet, watkins or ojo as he has played there a few times, would have certainly scored more than that shower off shite

But he himself made the right call I think if he wanted to make a name for himself quickly.  He's 23/24 so he was probably right to get moving, a career in football goes past in a flash. 

He'll probably get a move to Hibs or Hearts or somewhere in the middle of the English leagues on the back of it.

Anderson always had the ability to score goals and is proving he can in this league. We got unbelievable money for Cosgrove who has only scored 2 goals since he left and we replaced him well with Ramirez. I think if Anderson had stayed here he would have been still behind Ramirez and a fit Watkins so he has made the right decision and Livi must be laughing getting him in to replace the useless JET

He couldn't though, in the odd game he got from McInnes he used him there and he couldn't contribute from there, he's a striker and is thriving from playing in a system that suits him.

That’s true, could they have tried him just behind big cosgrove, as a support striker?use him as foil for him running into channels creating space for cosgrove or running on to flick ons from him to run onto?, genuinely don’t know if he had that in him.

The reality is we should have got more out of Anderson when he was with us. We was never played at opportunities that he should have. We didn’t believe enough in him and limited his match learning which was our own fault. 
The lad made a good move to give himself an opportunity to play.

But there is a big difference between just offering someone a contract so that they cant walk away for free and offering a contract to a player because we really wanted him to stay, believed in his ability and really wanted him to play games for us. Yes, he wanted to know that he was going to be given more game time but he also needed to have someone persuading him that he did have a future here and that we saw him as an Aberdeen player. There was chance he would have stayed if DM had been manager as he had much better powers of persuasion.

And if we really wanted him to stay we were also entitled to considerable compensation for him at the time which no Scottish team would have been willing to pay if we had really wanted him here and had tried to force the issue.

The big issue was there someone at the club who really wanted to bring JET into the club after the cup game against us last season. And ridiculously, was determined to do whatever it took to get him here.

You are right that it is a myth that we swopped him as the very scary thing is we paid a hefty fee for JET and offered him a ridiculous high wage. It was just on top of that fee that we were also willing to give them Bruce Anderson for free on the condition we would get a large sell on percentage of a future sale. Hopefully one day that will pay off the fee and those ridiculous wages we wasted on JET.

Martindale should get banged up again for fraudulently taking us to the cleaners on both deals.

He's scored 2 less than Ramirez in all competitions. If he was here he would still be playing understudy to Ramirez and wouldn't be anywhere near the 13 goals he is on from a decent run in the Livi team. Good for him. We move on.
