We really should sever ties with Atlanta…..all they have done for us is bring complete mishaps to Pittodrie from players to boardroom members.
Send them a box with a dead wolf stuffed inside and they will soon get the message….the sheep are not happy!

haha!  To be fair, this partnership has been a complete disaster so far!!

Still early days yet mind!

So far the partnership has brought us...

Glass - the most shambolic manager we've had in many a year (so far).

Agadoo (I think he was at Atlanta?) - who knows what he does along with our 15 other assistants.

Jon Gallagher - THE headless chicken of all headless chickens

Little Jack Gurr - shambolic right back

Ronnie Hernandez - cost us £1m but has played for Atlanta instead of us - and is by all accounts another shambolic right back.

Christian Ramirez - no way we'd have signed an American striker if it wasn't for our Atlanta connection - jury still out on him, but he is probably costing us a fortune in wages.

Ramirez was on 1m a year, dollars. Cormack said he had taken a significant pay cut but even still.

M

Levels though lads! He would be an absolute stand out on SPL. To say he’s shite is a bit of a stretch...

Perhaps min, but the lad, whilst being lightning quick, doesn't have much of a football brain.

He took an absolute age to score his first goal for the Magpies.

He's the type of player the tims will take on loan (a bit like the boy Elyounoussi, for example) and get away with his lack of footballing prowess up here because of being up against mentally slow, cumbersome and heartless central defenders. However, the move worked out well for the boy Elyounoussi in the end.

Considering we had McGhee not long before McInnes, that's a bit unfair (so far). Unless you mean by "many a year" as in...last 7 years then yeah, true.

I don't know how the stats compare from McGhee's start to Glass' start, but it feels just as bad to me. McGhee was a total disaster, but he inherited a fairly garbage team and I don't recall him spending much money. Glass has been given quite a bit of money to play with and he has made a monumental hash of everything so far. Other than giving the two young full backs game time (which they may have got anyway), I can't think of anything positive he's done so far.

What's going on with this guy. Is he ever likely to play for us, or is it all some sort of visa scam?

Shares an agent with the Martinez guy at Atlanta.

Prior to Martinez doing his ACL he was one of the best players in MLS and hence his agent calling all shots including sign my other guy (Too many foreigners at Altanta so  Hernandez goes to Aberdeen to wait).

Then Martinez did his ACL and hence agent is then calling zero shots and covid hit meaning Atlanta were unable to get rid of players and hence unable to bring Hernandez over.

The power balance all changed and Hernandez is left out in the cold. Who knows if he'll be playing at Aberdeen, Atlanta or somewhere else in the future but it was intended he'd be given the chance at Atlanta.

Presumably his loan will be extended from December until either our summer window or the end of the MLS 2022 season.

He'll continue to sit on the bench (or in the stand), we'll continue to recoup the wages but be down £850k on the transfer fee (plus the wages prior to the loan).

A heap of international caps and a proper agent probably means we could recoup some money for him at some point but safe to say we'll have lost over £1M on him.

Cormacks blatent lieing about this one is a huge LOL and fair play to the posters on here that called it out early doors.

Thanks for that info. It all seems a bit fishy to me, very suspicious goings on. The number of players we seem to have had recently who contribute very little must be a big financial drain.

Hernandez starting for Venezuela .

Winning 1-0 at half time.

Surely he can't be that bad if he keeps getting selected for Venezuela

Venezuela are pish though aren't they.

Hopefully Atlanta want to buy him and we get the money back. What a joke of a signing.

They gave us cash

That's the only upside it appears

Who does the cash go to, since our board has a few of the Atlanta board, does the cash really go to our club? Or is it sustained via DNA, and all Crotty, Cormack and Wicks are worried about is the infrastructure to ensure a lovely selling price for Ground, Training Pitches etc....
