There were a load of rearranged games due to be played this week. Just seen that. I wonder if we can play a league game instead of having a free weekend. We could play the tims then instead of midweek maybe'? Link to comment

Notice the Premiership are squeezing in a rearranged Spurs vs Fulham game for this midweek, to replace Spurs vs Villa which is in doubt due to an outbreak at Villa. Has to be flexibility to do such things to avoid the inevitable fixture pile up. Link to comment

Tord31
There is probably a good chance that fans will be back before the Huntly Aberdeen tie. It will be a superb curtain raiser for season 2021/22 Link to comment

You think that there's a good chance that fans will be back BEFORE the 30th of January?! ? or maybe I missed the joke.... Yes you missed the joke. The lockdown will be for a minimum of 12 weeks taking us up to April/May. The scottish cup will need to be scrapped or deferred to next season. The lower leagues will not be completed. We'll do well to get to 33 games before calling it a day there. Link to comment

Tord31
It is a scary precedent that the lower leagues are curtailed during the lockdown as it gives them no where to go when the lockdown is extended (and then extended again). Link to comment

thedandydon
Winners of this years SC (assuming it goes ahead) get Europa league playoff place. If one of the top 2 win it, 3rd placed team takes the spot. Makes it even more important that we get our shit together and put some distance between our nearest challengers, especially with doubt over the competition being played out. Link to comment

North_Andy_Dandy
Scottish Cup will be played but probably running into next season so just like last seasons one. Which would mean that 3rd place finish in the league is likely be in the Europa league play off spot. Link to comment

I'm really not sure. League One and League Two clubs are off until February 28th so far (watch out for any lockdown extension in Sturgeon statement on Tuesday afternoon and remember to add 2 weeks (which is some medical bullshit about allowing them to train before a game)) It's not 100% clear how long the Highland and Lowland Leagues are off for. If the lockdown date goes in to March it's starting to look difficult for finishing in May. The SPFL have obviously given one date back to the cup, sort of, by bringing forward game week 33 on to the free Saturday in Feb. We could squeeze 4 scottish cup fixtures in to that fortnight between SPFL game 33 and game 34 Link to comment

Dynamo
No sign of lower leagues returning. Next review in March. Surely the Scottish Cup cannot be played out this year. Link to comment
Tord31
I thought the next Nicola review was on the 16th regarding what happens on the 1st March? Moot point like as the only change will likely be a few more kids back to school and lockdown extended by two weeks. Link to comment
