If they both win and Saint Johnstone lose their Euro playoff then they are out of Europe.

At the moment St.Johnstone enter the Europa League Qualifying Round, if they lose that (which is likely) they would drop to Europa Conference League Play Off Round.

So are St’s not actually guaranteed Europe up to Christmas after all? What’s the script?

No its dependant on whether the two Manchester clubs win their finals.

According to Bert Kassies.....

The Europa Conference League title holder spot in the Europa League group stage will not be used because it is the first season of the Europa Conference League. The access list will be re-balanced as follows:

  1. The cup winner of Russia moves from EL-PO to EL-GS,
  2. The cup winner of Denmark moves from EL-Q3 to EL-PO,
  3. The cup winner of Cyprus moves from from ECL-Q2 to EL-Q3,
  4. The cup winners of Slovakia and Liechtenstein move from ECL-Q1 to ECL-Q2.

St Johnstone are positioned to be in the EL QR3, not the PO round. If they lose that, they’d get a second chance in the ECL PO round

They’ve gambled on refusing £4.5m for Nisbet & Porteous........ to win fuck all.

3rd v 4th is £250k - big deal really.

They’ll be selling both & also Boyle & Jackson are likely to leave.

Couldn't think who Jackson was except Darren from 20 odd years ago.

Presume you mean Irvine?

Retard reckons likely to leave Scotland, but if he stays it's likely on a new contract with Hibs. Seems to rule us out. On today's performance, not overly disappointed with that tbh

Yep it's number 2 that seems to have screwed St. Johnstone over.

Cunts moustache has always been the most significant thing about him.

And moustaches are shit as fuck unless attached to vigilantes or homosexual rock singers.

You're welcome to the cunt.

There was only ever one additional spot for the EL, as a result of no ECL incumbent winner. That spot went to Denmark

2. The cup winner of Denmark moves from EL-Q3 to EL-PO

This would have created an in balance and the thought was that would be created by moving a second spot up in the same competition and having fewer drop-ins. From other competitions.

it would seem like they’ve redressed this by moving the Cyprus Cup winner up from the ECL to the EL

3. The cup winner of Cyprus moves from from ECL-Q2 to EL-Q3,

Aye, sorry, having two surnames confused me 🤪

And I agree, not sure he’d be an improvement.
Definitely a downgrade on Ferguson.
Maybe on a par with McCrorie.

As I said after the game against us, Hibs are fucking terrible.

Just pipped us to 3rd when we went about 10 games without scoring a goal and have been in turmoil most of the season.

Cant believe they’ve been talked up so much.

Super Saints team and manager of the season you cannot take that away from them

Simply laughable  that Gerrard  is manager of the season clearly Davidson achievements  dwarf what Gerrard  has achieved

Well done St Johnstone a proper well run club who consistency pay their taxes on time

Respect....well until next season

Momentous  achievement

They only got 3rd as Doidge, Nisbet and Boyle were scoring regularly.

They'll regret not selling any of their players last January as they were clearly gambling on being in the group stages in Europe.

Yesterday showed us that there is hope and opportunities for the "diddy" and"provincial" clubs,

The establishment has been pedalling it's rehetoric, it's narrative and fake news for long enough,

Telling fans of the other 40 clubs, that there are only 2 clubs that have any importance or relevance in the game, the whole set up is constructed in a way to favour then, the governance, the financial model, it's all to appease 2 clubs,

Well done to st Johnstone for getting it right up them.

Can't wait to be up next season and rag doll Hibs. Mouthy lot since winning a cup in 114 years. Service resumed. Moneybags Anderson now on our Board and talk of signings that might have seemed beyond us arriving in next 2 weeks. Whilst Hibs frantically phone Brum back to see if they still want carthorse Nisbet.

I hear a reasonable chance we've got Campbell from Well. Just back and forward on terms.

I don't get your confidence. Hearts are fucking abysmal and relegation experts.

I give it 3 years before you're back down again. Maybe not even that long. Such a badly run club.

Like a broken stopwatch every year?

cue the amazing signings and a fortnight of shite stats to back up the amazing signings like 2 year ago, cue the amazing Anderson who at best has 5 years left on this earth tops, cue the unbelievable backing he is going to bring, cue aguero and Messi turning up and the old jam tarts winning the league, cue the 3rd biggest attendance chat, even though it’s full of unionists and junkies in your fucked up shitey new stand that she managed to fuck up.

mind that guy that had a birthmark like Europe on the side of his face?, he was supposed to be the new pirlo 2 years ago, what happened?  Relegation

same shit spouted every year.

enjoy your inevitable relegation battle 👍

In fact not a broken stopwatch! That is at least right twice a day, a broken record let’s go with that 👍

Davidson has done something incredible, Gerrard getting manager of the season is both an insult and embarrassing. We probably won’t see this again from an non-OF team for fuck knows how long. Saints were organised, tenacious and full of belief today. Really jealous of what they have done this season, it makes me quite bitter that we have done fuck all for so long.

I am the same. Completely and utterly bitter about it!!

just drills home how boring it is supporting Aberdeen. Since 1996 we have seen Aberdeen win one league cup. In that time if you supported bloody St Johnstone youd at least get to celebrate 2 Scottish cups, a league cup, a challenge cup and a couple first divisions.

since we won the Scottish cup hearts have won it 3 times, st johnstone twice, dundee United twice, motherwell, inverness, hibs once. We’ve only made the final 3 times in the last 30 years for fuck sake. It’s grim and there is absolutely nothing that makes it look like it’s going to change.

Gotta be positive.

Gordon. Souttar. Kingsley. Haring. GMS. Ginnelly if he signs . Boyce. Gnanduillet.

I think there's the basis for a decent 11. Souttar and a fit Haring like new signings. GMS was getting decent last few games. We missed Ginnelly. But we need about 6 or 7 signings that also improve the bench. The quality of them will determine our season. Campbell would be a solid start.

I agree we're badly run however. But we went down first time recently due to a points deduction and second time with 8 games left, cut short. We won't go down again. But we DO need shot of Budge. And Neilson.
