Despite becoming a cult figure, Ojo is nowhere near good enough for us. Better now than he was initially but still not at the required level

Aye. Not sure what kind of midfielder he is.

Was poor as a sitting midfielder.
Under Glass he looks a bit better as a more attacking inside left/inside right, but still doesn’t look too comfortable in the final third.

Allegedly one of the higher earners too.

But Glass seems to really like him so he’s not going anywhere

If we sell Hedges and don't bring in another winger/creative forward we'll have made a complete balls up.

Its nae like we're blessed with creative players as it is.

I'd guess we won't be selling Hedges for less than St Mirren want for McGrath? Would hope we would just replace with him if Hedges goes.

Ferguson is heading away. We are needing a different type of midfield (play too safe and very little imagination) so hopefully Cormack spends some of the transfer fee. I would loan out Campbell and try and move on McGeouch (as he brings nothing of note to the team). Hopefully Kennedy takes the hint and either agrees a release clause or heads to St.Mirren.

How many of those midfielders we had were any good though?

All fairly shite. A few specialist defensive midfielders and all on the bench because Ferguson was better than them and McInnes preferred being strongest possible in that position.

The reality is though they were all adequate and there was other positions we were well short of adequate eg striker, winger etc

Selling Hedges and replacing him with McGrath just adds to the problems we already have. Far too many central midfielders. If we sell Ferguson then by all means go for McGrath. But selling Hedges at all is football suicide as right now he looks like the only one who can make us tick.

Doesn't really matter how many of them are good when you can (or at least should) only be playing 2 of them at a time. What's the point in having 3 or 4 good midfielders who never get a game.

Personally From the 8 midfielders we have just now... I'd keep Brown and Longstaff as the main two, McCrorie as a utility man who can play midfield or occassionally at the back, Campbell who can also cover left back, and at a push McGeouch as another option / cover. I'd get rid of Ojo as I just don't think he's up to much (McGeouch is a better player), and I'd sell Ferguson if we can get at least £3m, and I'd send Teddy Jenks back to Brighton straight away.

It really does

Bid rejected from Blackburn Rovers for Ryan Hedges. £250k apparently. Quadruple it then we might have a conversation. Chancers

After being reminded how devoid we are of creativity when hedges is missing I wouldn't sell him unless it was absolutely silly money
