One poll showed the Greens get the record MSPs they expect, but Alba getting three and the SNP gaining two.

How the blazes can that happen, surely only one of the 3 can do well on the lists?  (or is that just wishful thinking on my part?).

Not how it works

In its simplest terms if SNP do as well as expected in the first vote then on the list vote you will need 10 snp votes to 1 unionist vote

That is why voting for another independence party such as Alba is so important on the second vote.

This was explained a page back do keep up.

This is why if you are interested in independence your second vote needs to go to Alba or Greens rather than SNP (you cant do both votes Alba as they are only on the list)

SNP list votes last election v seats won ⬇️

Central: 129,082 votes. 0 seats.
Glasgow: 111,101 votes. 0 seats.
Highlands & Islands: 81,600 votes. 1 seat.
Lothians: 118,546 votes. 0 seats.
Mid Scot & Fife: 120,128 votes. 0 seats.
North East: 137,086 votes. 0 seats.
South: 120,217 votes. 3 seats.
West: 135,827 votes. 0 seats.

The SNP had far the higher list (region) votes but only got an additional 4 seats Tories with half snp vote got 24

So by using your second vote to vote for Alba = more independence MSPs and Tories like annie wells and Murdo Fraser might not make it.

FFS Donald, it's not even a good venue for the league cup final

Shows how clueless this cunt is if he thinks Hampden would host the final ahead of Wembley.  Wembley's almost twice the size,  and it's in London. Honestly,  every politician should be suffocated in their sleep.

They're really gonna shake up the status quo. Fuck the system.

Well they maybe have an outside chance of getting an MSP, or at least they did before the lists became so competitive with the rise of the various indy parties.

At least they are trying to introduce (much needed, and not about the constitution) change - you said you weren't voting, so you do not think change is possible?

That the country suffers with demographic issues and none of the major parties talk about it is disgraceful and highlights the self-serving nature of it all.  The SFP are the only ones to acknowledge the role of strong / successful families in the establishment of strong / successful nations.   You do find this realisation in places where they are still capable of thought (eg Hungary's success in begining to address its own demographic problems).

Our politicians do not feel the anthropological reality of the human family - that is, a husband and wife and their offspring - has any specific or unique contribution to make to society: an obviously idiotic view.

It's not hypocrisy to hate poofters if they consistently hate poofters. It's intolerant.

Most religious fanatics do hate poofters. No idea what the kafflicks have in their grand plan as a punishment for our gay brothers and sisters but some zealots offer conversion therapy - which is quite hilariously sad if we think about it - and the moozlims are more direct in their intolerance. The Kenyan brand were very amusing with their eat da pooh pooh allegations.

Parky doesn't know what "hypocrisy" means, he often erroneously accuses people of it.

I and most people do not hate gays or anyone.  I think Parky is about 10 years younger than I and, like most his age, he has been indoctrinated to believe that objecting to something represents hatred.  Lacking other sources of information, he has no means or reason to question his indoctrination.  This outlook differs from the classical way of basing your stances on the quality of and truth in various arguments.  It is a means of ducking an argument which cannot be won.

There is actually no such thing as  "conversion therapy" - that is a term invented by LGBT activists.  It is vaguely defined and is only for propaganda purposes, deployed against anyone who might accept the reality that homosexuality is sexual dysfunction (consider it logically in the light of the purpose and workings of human sexuality, if you are able).

Its perfectly reasonable for a gay person to wish to discuss or investigate why their sexuality is at loggerheads with the form and function of their body, and also perfectly reasonable for them not to wish to.  Either way, they should not have their choices limited by activists who have politics and not have their best interests at heart.

Saying there is nothing amiss with homosexuality is like saying there is nothing amiss with a car which wont start.

Ironically the people seeking to ban "conversion therapy" in Scotland used figures which showed that it actually works for 3% of people, with a higher number experiencing a temporary effect.

The hypocrisy is him hating poofters but loving the family party, who have a gay porn star as a candidate.

Even if that were true, it would not represent hypocrisy.

Mr Tanzer is a former gay porn star (I was the one to first highlight this, ages ago) and indeed he is a handsome man although I dislike his tattoos.  I believe he is now in a relationship with a woman.

He seems like a good character who invests a lot of time contributing to his local community, his SFP candidacy being part of this.

Tanzer is a problem for many well-established bogus narratives and so an interesting and challenging figure, whom I welcome in Scottish politics.

Any excuse to kick independence into the long grass. I see she's now bumping her guns and saying 2023. Still the happy clappers, in their cult-like behaviour, will continue to genuflect before "oor Nicola" and insist hers is the truth and the only truth in town.

I can't wait to see where things will stand in 2026 when independence is no closer and the SNP leadership, if still in power, approach another election with their Krankie Karrot - "jist wan mair mandate, byraway. Honest. We mean it this time, an 'aw!"

I think/hope that Alba gain traction and get some list MSPs then if nothing happens once they have a hold things might change for the better come next election.

The SNP are too strong just now and even if Alba were standing on the constituency vote it would only split it just now.
