muttonhumper
Our passing for the 1st hour was truly awful. Full backs being chief culprits, looked like they were trying to make a specific sort of lengthy forward pass that they couldn't pull off. Wasn't impressed with Hoban for their goal, or most of the game really. Used to think he was decent. Only plus point I can think of in that first half was when we hit them on the break a couple of times, the speed and volume of bodies we hoyed into their box. Pity we couldn't have applied a finish. Kennedy's attempt particularly woeful, eyes right off the ball. Crossing was more thoughtful and precise, rather than the previous lump in high standard, certainly paid off for 1st equaliser. More like a pass than a cross. Though our movement was good after that, and probably created enough to win the game without having to go to pens. Good character in the shoot out though, 4 good pens and a real shit one from Ferguson that was fortunate to go in. Was pretty nervous watch TBH. The thought of our new era collapsing in front of us for Glass 1st game made it feel like that all the way til McGinn's goal. Hopefully we can improve on our current scoring record v United this season in next week's tie. ?? Link to comment

I thought we were doing that far too often when it wasn't merited . Right from the first minute we were in an attacking position and instead of playing the attacking ball in went all the way back Link to comment

Most of these players have had years of cautious football drummed into them.Add into that,a fair % of the current players are past it/not good enough. Would hope to get an idea of what to expect next season in the next few weeks though Highlights here, dont show all the penalties for some reason https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56700977 1 Link to comment
Sheepo
Glass needs a big Rebuild in the summer for sure but he will know there is some optimism with some of the players there. I didn't think Deano had his best game but he didn't hide and he played a couple of superb defence splitting passes, one to Kamberi was top drawer and he needs to do this more and will. I thought Hayes when he started running at the full back looked more like the old Jonny Hayes. Mcginn was pretty poor for the first 70 minutes but then got a goal and an assist and I still believe he is the best finisher at the club and needs to be played centrally going forward. Kamberi once Hendry came on was superb and showed some terrific ability. On the other side of it Glass will hopefully have seen the likes of Kennedy and Mclennan are hopeless and will either need a lot of work put into them of moved on if possible. I also thought Hendry did well up fo]ront when he came on and unsettled there defence, but Hornby was poor again. We also are going to need a younger quicker centre half as Hoban and Considine are far too slow both in movement and playing out Link to comment
Lencarl
Nice to see our new manager clean shaven and dressed in a suit and tie. Certainly looked the part. 2 Link to comment

alscotoz
Didn't see the game. Logged in here and saw the score and for some reason I read it as Livingston winning on penalties. About 6 hours later my mistake was pointed out to me. BONUS! Cheered me up no end. Semi finals coming up! 2 Link to comment

I though Ferguson’s pen was ok. Struck me as he sensed the keeper had done his homework or saw movement from the keeper on his run up and therefore changed the placing to make sure it went in. as someone else said, any pen that goes in is a good one. Kamberi’s pen was one that showed he was oozing confidence. Pick of the bunch for me was Campbell’s pen. That is how a pen should be struck in my opinion. Link to comment

Shinniesta
Great chance now to get to the semis nothing to fear from United. A bit of luck with the draw and against all odds considering our crap form this year we could find ourselves in the final. By that time Glass and Russell would have had far more time with the players. Here's hoping it could still end up being a great season. Link to comment

Betty Swallicks
The starting 11 shows what an unbalanced squad McInnes has left behind. 2 fucking defenders and 4 wingers?!?! The amount of players out of contract will actually work to our advantage now the cunts gone. Poor show by him accepting the commentary gig too. Surely the correct response was "not this time as it would be inapprpriate to be there in the new managers first game". Self centred cunt is so oblivious he critisised the team.... the team that he fucking built. Spewing when the 5th pen went in. Shitebag! 1 Link to comment

Wouldn't have been so bad if he'd popped up on Sportscene or if they'd hosted the game yesterday in the studio. But he would have had to have driven there, parked in the car park, entered the stadium etc all at roughly the same time Glass was turning up for his first game. Weird behaviour. Not sure if he's so self centred that he is oblivious or if he's just struggling with not being the manager here any more. Link to comment

Not sure if he's so self centred that he is oblivious or if he's just struggling with not being the manager here any more. All a bit strange. The players warming up would have had a clear view of him in the South Stand as well. I'm sure it wouldn't have affected them but it was totally jarring. In terms of his punditry, I thought he kept it pretty professional and didn't actually make any pointed remarks as was suggested by one of the tabloids. But I can't help think how on earth is he in a mindset where he was ready to return in that capacity and thought it was fair on Stephen Glass. As for Premier Sports, I was torn between thinking is it quite a decent coup to get him on to do the punditry for that game or is it just weird behaviour from them as well? Could see it impacted the way the other pundits talked about the team as well because they were pointing out the struggles of a team standing next to the guy responsible for those struggles. 2 Link to comment
thurso
Thought the team started ok but when livi scored their first they went pretty poor to half time. Second half and extra time they were the better team and should of won it. don’t think any player stood out as the best most were pretty good at points but also terrible at others Altho Conner McLennan was by far the worst in my book. All 5 pens were very good tho just rolling them in when the keeper moved 1 Link to comment
