What, by beating easier teams than mcinnes got?

Dinna get all defensive loon, just cause McInnes was an ex-Hun.

Qarabag have a higher seeding rating than Rijeka, Maribor, Real Sociedad and Apollon Limassol.

How did they qualify for Europe finishing 8th? Did they win the cup?

the top Austrian teams have done more in Europe than the likes of ourselves and Hibs in recent years… RB Salzburg seem miles ahead, but wouldn’t fancy us against the likes Rapid, LASK and Sturm Graz. 8th in the Austrian league won’t be far off our level!

It really defies logic. In a 12 team league the team that came 8th reached European football.

They won a play off of sorts, not obvious why there is a play off. I agree with your general comment about top end of Austrian football being strong, but I guess that's similar to rangers over here just now.

For anyone interested, Bet365 are showing the team from Iceland game tonight, 815.

But sometimes the seeding can be based on former achievements. I'm not saying that's the case with them but I do think there's an element that people see a name in the Conference and think it's a higher standard than it is. Most teams in this tournament are teams who haven't had good seasons. You will get some sides who have had a poor season and have improved their side, I'm hoping we are one of those.

Breidalblik would score both their goals against our defence if everyone plays to current form

I'd fancy us to take a few goals based on the chances they gave away.

Agreed if we have our shooting boots on and they don't fall to Ojo. I don't see it being 0-0.

Not sometimes, always the seedings are based on former achievements. The last 5 seasons to be specific.

Most teams in the PO round would beat us easily and have higher seedings than the teams we have been beaten by before in Europe

Find it pretty farcical that rangers could loose both play of rounds abc still end up in the conference league.

Not a bad draw. Handpicking I'd probably only favour the two Israel sides, and maybe Partizan

Yes

Well if that's the case, then the group stages should be pretty much guaranteed.

Seems they split into top 6 and bottom 6 after two rounds of fixtures. The top two finishers in the bottom 6 play each other, and the winner of that plays the 5th place team for a euro spot. I suppose it keeps things interesting, and everyone has something to play for at the tail end of the season.

A really low standard of game. Kari was looking every bit his 38 years of age.

No excuses, easiest draw in 8 years

It is the easiest draw but doesn’t excuse the pitiful effort the past 8 years. To not even reach the play off round once was embarrassing.

Game on Thursday moved to national stadium. Grass pitch by the looks of it.

Obviously we are regarded as a far bigger draw than the Austrians. 👍

We're 151st . There is different data to wherever you've got yours, here https://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/club/#/yr/2021

72-76th - a bunch of English teams with coefficient points in only 1 of the last 5 years each, ranging from a measly 1.50 to 16.00, yet they all sit on 20.113 overall points just because they are English.

What a shite system.

Prob and because its on Premier Sports and the press/media facilities are not up to it at their own ground.

Them not being at their "home" andits now on a grass pitch obviously helps us.

HAHAHA!

Hun mentality just like "the tims 9 in a row didn't count because rangers weren't in the league".

McInnes failed min, move on!
