Have you read Born to Run or Can’t Hurt Me?  Both ace books on the subject.

You should read the Stubborn scotsman.

It's about my uncle. He's dead now, but he was quite the ultra distance runner.

Fuck knows. you're obviously working harder if you're doing more uphills. I always preferred an off road path or a running track. Fuck running with the public about. I'd just get constantly wolf whistled at by women.

Eh've got a few good wee routes in the West end and the South side.

Take the car out to Whitelees, loads of options for runs round there, nae cars and normally quiet - decent surface too.

Also a good place for a cycle.

Is it balls . It’s their job  They’ll just check you’re not some flat footed mongo and recommend a structured shoe . Expect to pay about £100x  Asics are my go to shoe.

What if you are? That's the main barrier to running for me. Well, that and laziness.

Day off work.

Relaxed breakfast and coffee.

Dropped the smallest at nursery, took the older one to the cinema to see The Bad Guys.

Lunch at a local cafe (tuna, cheese and Red onion melt) - latte to wash it down.

Picked up the youngest, went to the park.

Beach for an ice cream.

Home to watch the acca roll in.

Beers tonight.
