What you doing today?

Recommended Posts

Decided my bike ride was boring today so, as I hit a muddy patch, I decided to liven it up by throwing myself off the bike - managed to take most of the impact on the shoulder and then my helmet as it bounced along the ground.

Felt ok afterwards, nothing broken so got back on and kept going, 20 mins or so later the pain started - feckin sore now, grazed thigh and arm and a feckin sore neck.

Oh well, nothing broken.

Any chance you've got severe concussion?

I've spent most of the day looking at the Scottish Government's website about what to do when folk die.

I've just scratched the surface and will need to continue it again tomorrow.

As an only child it will be my responsibility to wind up my parents (divorced) estates.

It's not a pleasant topic but something I'll logically have to face so it's best to be prepared.

Happy New Year to all whom read this.

Taxi cunts today can fuck off. Absolute shambles prices. Nae paying that to get to a pub in toon.

I'd rather walk. Lifts? Hahaha.

And the rates are fully facilitated and set by our lovely council.

Walk past Back Wynd or any City Centre taxi rank on a weekday afternoon and there are dozens of them sitting there waiting. At a weekend when folk actually need taxis where the fuck are they? Night busses were quietly axed in 2020 and are yet to properly return.

Mental queues in an evening at the train station too. And the airport after any flight. Welcome to Aberdeen.

Such a weird system. I get that dealing with drunk folk isn't pleasant but surely you'd want to maximise your earnings?

Today would be a great opportunity to encourage folk to use taxis. Half price fares perhaps?
