A brief bright spark he may have been, never "a God" in a million years.

One clown on here (I'll not name any names but he's a clueless weegie with a bazooka chin) even tried to claim he was better than Jess 😂

I'd actually forgotten that Jess played in the same team as Zerouali for a couple of years. Ok there were 2 bright sparks during that time.

The 2 cup finals in one season, nae scoring for yonks then winning 5-6, and a mad as fuck manager were decent too.

Zero was fine for the wifies, bairns and feels.

There was some decent memories, not a great time performance wise though. Some of the defeats were atrocious. 23 goals conceded to Celtic in 4 games in 99/00 and 13 to Rangers.

The 2 cup finals were great, although no real recollection of the league cup final. Went down on a minibus loaded up with booze for celebrating on the return to Aberdeen, bus was drank dry before passing Dundee on the way down.

The 2 cup finals were fucking shite. Especially the hun fiasco with Winters in goals.

The finals were shit in the fact we were comfortably beaten in both but amazing days out as with the season we had i don't think any Dons fan went there expecting to win, just went for a good day out. The Scottish Cup final against Rangers we outsang the Rangers fans for 90 minutes even at 4-0 down.

Our support was a fucking embarrassment let's be honest. We had become the tartan army doing a conga to celebrate getting pumped and sing about our mongo manager.

We were crap and we knew we were crap... so why not just enjoy the day out. Makes more sense than going there to boo all game and piss off home early having made the 2 hour + journey to get there. We were the worst team in the league that year by a fair distance, there was very little to shout about... even in our first win of the season we still managed to concede 5 goals. Everyone was laughing at us that season so why not take the piss out of ourselves also.

Yup my lowest days as an Aberdeen supporter. The cup finals were a shit show and don’t get me started on those fucking embarrassing congas. Should be wiped from everyone’s collective memory and never mentioned again,

Zerouali was pretty crap here for 3 years ok he broke his leg and was out a long time but only played 40 games in that time scoring 11 goals with 3 of them in one game.
So yes maybe had some good moments but in the grand scheme of things didn’t do anything of note

Leighton getting injured gave us a good excuse but we'd have gotten pumped that day regardless.

Semi-final was good though.

My main memory of that game was watching it in a London boozer, seeing Leighton getting assaulted , watching Jobby Winters pull on a goalie jersey and walking out said boozer. Fuck that shit.

Over 20 goals a season 3 seasons in a row - including a season he was out from February. Not to mention 9 goals in his first season that he was only here 5 months.

why would we judge rooney on what he did after?

Yeah, but if memory serves me right del monte was hardly hating Rooney during the halcyon days with peak mcginn and Hayes

It was towards the end, when he was here a season too many

I was hammered but wont forget the collective gut wrenching sickener when we realised we had no sub keeper on the bench and Robbie got the goalie top on 2mins into the game. Horrific at a final v them. Although i mind the first save he made and everyone celebrating like we’d scored. That was decent.
Worked with a boy who was part of the conga crew. They were Broch loons on a stagger who i suspect didnt get out much beyond the Broch (and Chois)

And the conga crew was certainly not a one off. It was an embarrassment and the Hun support to a man thought it was glorious. No fucking excuses.

I had a ticket for the match but it still remains the only final since I became an adult that I didn't attend. I couldn't bring myself to go all the way to Glasgow to watch us be beaten. Still don't regret my decision to this day.

Off to Leicester for a reunion with Brenda?

Wonder how much of a pay off he’s accepted from us, and how much he’s cost us overall for his 9 months of “service”?
