Changing that many starters for fringe players (Who aren't good enough) was fucking ridiculous. With 5 subs you can put the game to bed then take off your better players. Cups are the best chance we have of winning anything anf thats us out of one already.... I've praised Glass since the start of the season but he need to have a look at himself and realise the players he trusts aren't as good as he thinks they are

McNamara won league titles and played nearly his whole career in the SPL. You could see why we signed him. This cunt Gurr's played most his football at Houston Thunderwizards or some shite. It was a failed experiment with Gallagher last year. Should have learned.

I don't understand why everyone thinks footballers can't play 2 games a week. They play it nearly every week of the season in the lower leagues of England. Play your best team today and play your best team Thursday night. If they can't motivate themselves for a run in a cup and possibly the group stages of the Intertoto Cup or whatever we're playing in, then get them to fuck.

Too many players off the boil today. We were playing ok and creating chances with that starting 11, then Gurr made one of his many stupid mistakes of the game.

Should still have been good enough to see that game out, but that changed when they scored and we didn't/couldn't respond. 

That midfield was too lightweight as well, really needed someone like Ferguson or Brown from the start to put a foot on the ball and take control of the game. 

JET is luxury player who does a few nice touches and fuck all else. Desperately need another striker in.

McLennan back to his usual shite. We really struggled to carve any chances since scoring and got punished at the other end.

Hopefully Hayes and Hedges are alright. Hayes was the only one trying to take on his man and whip a cross in.

How can anyone really think that starting XI were somehow insufficient to win the game? Changes or not, that side should have had no issues beating a mid-table Championship team. Not a single player with the possible exception of Lewis showed the required spirit or drive. We were in absolute control for the first 45 and then it all collapsed in the second half, never to recover.

A damning indictment on the players' mentality and robustness when things are going wrong.

I will say though: McLennan flatters to deceive. He tries to play like Hedges with none of the effort.

I think you're over rating some of our players. 

We're just not strong enough to change as many players and expect to win comfortably

The players brought in should be decent enough to deal with Raith but the performance levels from all just weren't there.  Ojo back to being pish, Gurr done well first half then faded and cost us with a howler, McGinn and Hayes need to retire however I do hope Hayes isn't too seriously hurt.

 

Overall shocking performance, if we go and win thursday we can cut them some slack for today as being out of this cut with a foot in to the groups wouldn't be bad in the slightest.

Can we cut them some slack? Winning on Thursday won't reinstate us to the League Cup. 

The only way Thursday could make up for today, would be if we went on to win the whole tournament which isn't going to happen.

Even worse that it's come in a cup game. Even the triple substitution didn't seem to be done with any purpose; just going through the motions. The defence really is a worry. Gallagher has looked far from convincing. Good attacking full backs...should be seen as a bonus, first of all need to good defending full backs. Hayes is no loss. Finished. McGinn. Finished. Gurr. Barely started.

We needed to rest some players today, it's backfired especially with two players picking up serious injuries.  If we get a result thursday and eventually make the group stages, not having this competition to worry about wouldn't be a bad thing at all.  That said I want us to win every game especially the domestic cups, it's frustrating that we lost today but bigger picture means it might not be the worst result in the world.
