Ruth Copeland - "Gimmie Shelter" (the backing band is George Clinton's Parliament-Funkadelic).  I think this is fucking brilliant, and kicks the arse right off the rolling stones. 

Ruth, a fine looking woman, was from Consett, near Newcastle, but seems unknown in the UK today.  Lots of her stuff on You Tube.
