STOP that

Ok,, just was getting bored with apparent lack of real news on this , however that twat Goodwin looked genuinely flat when asked about McGrath on tv so I’m assuming and it’s a stretch that we’ve got him and at a realistic cost

What do you think that clown can possibly tell you about it to result in you knowing more?

STOP replying to him

Highland m8s.

Mackay-Steven is surely what he prefers though given it’s the name he’s used for the whole of his adult life?

When his mother changed it to mackay-Steven he hated it until the whole gms thing got recognised in the press but that’s for another thread.

We still offered him a deal last season

I will be proved right, that is not the problem. Get onto Twitter and ask Davie Cormack to prove me wrong….he hasn’t yet.

I would agree that Lewandowski is Poland's greatest ever player. Deyna was a great player as was Gregoryz Lato.

Boniek was true world class in the 80's that hat-trick he scored against Belgium in the 82 World Cup second round was special. He won the European Cup, Super Cup and Cup Winners Cup for Juventus scoring the winner in two of those finals. Juventus were probably the best club team in the world in the early to mid 80's. The fact that we were so close to signing one of their star players seems like complete fantasy stuff now.

As NEM said modern football is shite.

It really is. Fans used to have ambitions for their clubs, now there's only fantasies.

See tbh, he was probably a better player when he was just Gary Mackay. He had no leg breaks then (might been ankles or similar  Tbf). He’s had a very solid career and easily best player from up north by a country mile ….but it would be frightening to think how much even better he would have been without the couple of big injuries. Single handed made Thurso Swifts look good 😂😂

Thats no slagging him btw, I think with better luck with injuries he’d been one the best players of his generation.

When you called him Gary Mackay it got me reminiscing about how unreal he was.

He’s had a good career but he’s not even the best player in his family never mind from up north 😂😂 and Thurso swift’s were always crap as youths

When Gary was there they won the tournament, when he wasn’t they got pumped every game.

Scott was decent Tbf but I think your over selling him 😂😂

Can't beat the protracted failed moves for Graham Kavanagh, and the attempt to sign John Robertson

You're only looking at it with the current situations of both clubs in mind.

Ignoring his potential English offers, if doubling/tripling your income isn't enough for a player who turns 26 this year, then I'd say the below:

  • Better training and treatment facilities
  • Better stadium facilities
  • Chance to play European football
  • Compete higher in the league
  • More chance of competing in cups and playing in finals
  • Play alongside better players
  • Play for a wealthier club
  • Won't have to live in Paisley
  • All of the above and he'll still live near an International Airport

This is a fine post but it is quite amusing how you were clearly struggling a bit towards the end there. St Mirren players don’t have to live in paisley and Aberdeen airport is fucking shite 🤣

Tbh, I think Paisleys more desirable to live in Aberdeen. Right in the central belt. No 3 hours away from the action.
