After looking promising in the early home European games the team looks like it has lost all its creative force.

We need a no10 playing off Ramirez, if JET is that no10 then so be it, but he aint no right-winger, if that's where he was supposed to be playing. I was surprised to see him come back out for the second half and even more surprised when the first substitution was a dull like-for-like replacement Hayes for Samuels when Samuels looked like one of the few capable of unpicking the lock (maybe he had a knock, for which we can maybe give benefit of the doubt).

St Johnstone's shape meant they did a number on our full-backs; namely their high wing-backs pegged back Ramsay & Mackenzie as an attacking force. The flip-side to that is that we should have been able to get balls into the gaps behind them and stretch their back three; it worked on a few occasions with Samuels.  But on a number of occasions, first half especially while we were on top, we were very sloppy on the attack, taking heavy touches, overhitting passes, giving away cheap offsides.  You can't do that at this level.

For me, if Bates is still on the pitch, he closes down the shot and May doesn't score.  That is the one positive I'll take from Saturday, that Bates looked strong despite not being 100% match fit.  One stray pass aside I thought McCrorie did fine. St Johnstone never really got in behind us all day which makes the avoidable winning goal difficult to take; Lewis looked slow getting down to it.  I don't think Gallagher is good enough for us.  I also think Jack Mackenzie's first touch is going to prevent him having a prolonged career at this level.

I'm not convinced the midfield unit is working. On at least two occasions in second half a second ball fell to a midfielder 25 yds out and a shot was on, but Brown and Ojo on both occasions chose to ping a ball out wide. This smacks of a lack of responsibility.  Lewis Ferguson is not playing particularly well right now but he's one of the few you can't accuse of not trying to take responsibility.  But other than Samuels (& Ramsay) which one of our players right now is going to beat a defender?

The football is too formulaic and looks like that of a rookie manager. I've seen no evidence last few weeks of anything different to what got the last manager sacked. So the honeymoon is most definitely over if the manager chooses to live & die by such a statement.

Glass may well ride out this current “blip” (for my money, he won’t) but there will quickly be other bumps on the road ahead.

We’ve all seen the script so many times before. Once you reach a certain low, there is very rarely, if ever, a route back, moreso with inexperienced managers.

The player holds the ultimate say so if he says he's fit or not. Even if you are 100% fit, you can say you felt something go/a tightness/ you think you might have a stomach upset/whatever during the warm-up and the club doc will have almost no chance of proving otherwise and so will have no choice but to rule you out from playing

Remember what Mr McLeish did at McDiarmid all those years ago

He could easily have celebrated properly without going to the stand and aggressively sticking it to the fans. He had 2 years left on his Dons contract when we let him go home to Saints. As far as I can tell we did the cunt a favor.

Apparently a dons fan was giving him shit when he was warming up infront of the main stand. If that is the case can you blame him for the way he celebrated? I'd have done the same to be honest.

Big fuss about nothing.

We'd be better questioning why Gallagher couldn't be fucked closing his shot down once he'd cut inside Ramsay.

If the manager chooses to ignore the player, then what chance does he have. McInnes was fully aware bryson shouldn't have travelled, never mind actually played. bryson was only going to come on in an emergency. McInnes then fired him on after 20 minutes, despite the player's protests...

Just read that some idiot called May a reject as he took to the field on Saturday.

The club need to get rid of those idiots who drag our good name through the dubs. Lifetime bans to the main stand heckler and public apology to Stevie ‘Medals’ May or forever be the yokels of Scotch Footy.

Lewis was poor as well, a shot from 23 yards and although it was placed right in the corner, Lewis was covering that side and should have got a hand to it.

Was the RDS upper not meant to be closed this season or did I imagine that?  Certainly open on Saturday.

Bryson should have refused to travel. And informed the club PFA rep of what he was being coerced into.

If Mcinnes insisted, then the PFA would have taken  McInnes (and the club vicariously) to the cleaners. The club doc also doesn't escape criticism as he should also have laid down the law to DM

He hasn't been, as there's several others that could verify how McInnes treated certain players.

Certainly the plan pre-Covid was to have RDU closed apart from games where tickets sales warranted it but for the Ross County game, I remember they specifically mentioned the RDU would be open for those still wishing to socially distance.

In what way? He came up to us to try to win things. He wanted to do well, but your man derek wasn't the great guy that he makes out to be with many players. Regardless, bryson went and did with st johnstone what he wanted to do with us 🤷🏻‍♂️

As far as wasting money goes, Bryson is probably up there with Stevie May himself. Certainly if you work it out on money paid out per minute they actually played. Stevie May did at least play a lot (which wasn't a good thing as he was honking). Bryson was never fit, and he came across as a total moron anyway. Just something about him that I didn't like. I get the same feeling with Gallagher now for some reason. Stevie May on the other hand, always put in a shift, and you could never fault his effort - problem was he was pretty much done and completely shot of confidence. I felt a bit sorry for the lad really, but I was delighted when he left.

In fairness not on a level with the boy that came with Gleason whose name temporarily escapes me although that is hardly surprising given his minutes in the pitch.

Bryson is a total mink. Saw him walking through Union square during his time here in a full cotton Adidas tracksuit, trousers tucked into his socks. At 33/34 or however old he was?

McInnes didn’t help by ruining his ankle playing him while still injured. And Murray Davidson trying his best to break his other one.

Disappointed to see May giving it large to Aberdeen fans, it’s also slightly bizarre given that the fans were incredibly patient with him. I can rarely think of an underperforming player who got as much backing as he did.

I didn’t understand his logic though.  Was he trying to say, “Look at me I’m really good to have scored the winner” bearing in mind everyone was sitting there thinking “Fuck sake my granny on a pogo stick could score here and she’s been dead 20years”

I thought the same with Anderson at the Livingston game. I totally understand if they look back at their time here with less than fond memories and don't feel like they were treated completely fairly or whatever, that's fine. I wasn't aware they had an issue with the fans though.

I wasn't looking particularly closely but don't even remember seeing anyone give May pelters as he came over the corner, in fact I saw one guy clapping politely, acknowledging the good run and shot.
