The fans are already against the players. One look at social media and the abuse they take tells you that. There was someone on here who went to trouble of listing every goal we had lost to lay the blame at one of our best players ?

You've picked that up wrong.

I listed the goals conceded to defend one of our best players this season after some had tried to attribute some blame to the majority of goals being lost down his side.

You’re way off the mark again. He was defending Ramsay.

It’s a fucking fans forum too. Literally the reason it was created is to discuss the team.

Apologies.

Ach nae bother min.

Ramsay's a cracking player and I can't think of any goals conceded directly attributable to him.

Long may he be with us and allow us to enjoy his game.

Hopefully the manager and coaching team review his training schedule as a young loon should be able to last 90 minutes in a game without cramping up.

Why are fans getting annoyed at the players? Other than perhaps Lewis who's form has dipped, the players are performing in line with the level of their careers to date.

The problem was the horrendous transfer window and whichever incompetent buffoon was responsible for that.

Why on earth are people baffled that players who were below the standard required for AFC prior to signing, are still below that standard after singing. Bizarre.

Or in Hayes, McGinn, Gallagher and Ferguson’s case, see Joe Lewis.

In Jet’s and Ramirez’s cases, maybe they were shit before they arrived, wouldn’t know.

McGeough hasn’t played enough for me to form an opinion if he is less or more shit than he once was

At the end if the day, unless Steven Gunn is dealing with recruitment, the buck stops with the manger, for signing players who were already shit, or extending contracts to those who had proven they were past it and therefore shit.

Its shit

Well Hayes and McGinn are ageing and that's to be expected. Whoever signed McGinn can't just shrug their shoulders and ask  why isn't he performing like he's 27. I could maybe agree a wee bit with Ferguson.

RE JET and Ramirez, we did know. The evidence was there to be found for those who wanted to see it.

Whoever is responsible should be sacked or withdrawn from transfer duty, whether that is Glass, Gunn or A N Other. We simply cannot afford this level of fuck up, as its not a quick fix and can have ramifications for multiple seasons. See Matty Kennedy for example, we can't get rid of him.

What's actually worse is that we've re-signed players we could have and should have got rid of when we had the chance - ie Devlin who will never play again, Virtanen who we decided to sell 5 minutes later, and McGinn who has been past it for a couple seasons (although he has been a great servant to the club). Even just letting Devlin and McGinn go could have freed up a few grand a week in wages that would have allowed us to bring in 1 more good player who could actually improve the starting line up. Instead we're stuck with 2 guys who will likely not muster more than 2 or 3 games between them this season.

Surely the solution to this problem is for the players to play better and win matches?

If they don't like criticism then bloody do better

Well yeah it could have, but given how the transfer window went, its pretty certain that those wages wouldn't have been spent on a good player. They would have been spent on a shite player who thought all his Christmases had come at once.

Ah but apparently, we had a duty of care to offer Devlin a new contract. That’s worrying, almost like he lost his marbles whilst here so we have a duty to help him find them again.

The players and management can make life a hell of a lot easier for themselves by preparing properly and carrying out the task they set to do. Tolerance of players not performing properly weeks in a row is not on and must be addressed. It would mean players that are not used to getting dropped making way but hey ho…we should be here to win, no matter the cost.

This is a MUST WIN game.

Certainly a MUST NOT LOSE game first and foremost.

However, agree, we sorely need to win otherwise the season will head to rat shit before too long, and it will not matter what DC offers for six match deals.

Lewis, Ferguson and Ojo should definitely be 3 that should be dropped straight away. Every players form has dipped but these 3 just look like they are going through the motions.

Agree  Lewis isn't performing properly and Ferguson has been below par.

Ojo on the other hand is a known quantity of shite and is performing properly by his standards.

So we have Ferguson and Lewis out of form and we're fucked.  Says it all about the quality of the squad that Glass has assembled.

Who you dropping Lewis for exactly?

Obviously it would be Woods.

I don't think he's that far behind Lewis overall, his distribution and ability with his feet is certainly a lot better than Joe.

As I've said before, I don't think Gnasher would be over enamoured with Lewis being benched given his earnings but a few games on the sidelines might concentrate Lewis' mind and get him to buck his ideas up.

Sometimes just a simple thing like changing the goalkeeper gives the team the kick up the backside they need. Ferguson would definitely be making way also though….I think he has taken his eye off the ball and thinks he is better than he actually is.

I won't be too harsh on Glass over Lewis but the signs were there last season. Unfortunately he opted against signing proper competition for Lewis, probably to have more money to spend on the outfield players, it's just a shame that he wasted it spectacularly.
