Glass got sent off after the incident so he obviously backed Ojo. The interview after is naive but he is just wanting to avoid a headline/trouble.

It's had the complete opposite effect though hasn't it? Everyone and their dog in the media saying how Glass hasn't backed his man. Was it Iwelumo that tore him a new hole on Sportscene? If he had just come out and backed his man like he should have done rather than try to sweet talk the SFA ahead of his hearing we wouldn't be having this conversation.

As long as we keep getting the odd result and no end up in the bottom two, Glass will be safe. It’s clear Cormack feels this season is a write-off anyway, and wants to give him a chance.

Just how bad things need to get before the chairman finally sees sense remains to be seen.

Dire stuff.

Well Paddy, as things stand, bottom two is certainly a possibility.

Should DC back his puppet for the whole season, in the hope we don't sniff relegation, the egotistic twat could lose any remaining good will he may still have with the support.

Hopefully he will come to his senses before this becomes a serious car crash of a situation!!!!

Most yes but not all.
If it was all about budgets you would just go by that and hearts wouldnt of been relegated twice in the last 5 years

If it wasn't all about the budgets then why have only oldco/sevco and Celtic won the league in the past 35 years? The longest run of champions without a winner from "provincial" clubs ever. The previous longest run was of 27 consecutive championships between them way back from 1905 to 1931

They don't win all the cups because they're essentially  sprint competitions and they can occasionally draw each other before the final leaving provincial teams only to deal with one half of them.

Yes that is a terrible stat but in the  90’s I recon we should of won the league twice and I’m pretty sure we didn’t have the highest budget in any of those seasons.

To say budgets “mean nothing” is nonsense.

Look around the league tables in Europe.

In leagues around Europe there are teams in the leagues that are doing far worse with bigger budgets than ones above them.

You can’t say “budgets mean nothing”.

That’s just daft, come on.

They’re a fairly decent guide how leagues end up.

So they do mean something.

If it was ALL about budgets then the likes of Leicester wouldn’t have won the league that year, must have been 6 teams at least with better budgets, as did Donetsk last year,Kiev won as did the Italian league, inter won, as did Copenhagen, mijtland won, plenty of teams that underperformed and didn’t win the league

fucks sake Lille won the league a couple of years ago with Paris in it,with mbappe, neymar etc. The difference is in those countries they aren’t skewed to only have their biggest teams win it if a Roy of the rovers type story happens unlike our tinpot country. Any chance of an upset and the media would go into overdrive as would the lovely unbiased refs!.unless bigotry and bias is cleaned up,(in all aspects)their won’t be another winner other than those 2 for the next 40 years.

Is anyone thinking it's seriously possible that only Celtic or rangers will ever win the league again, ?

Look at Ukrainian football, since the inception of their league in 92 (post communism) it’s only been shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kiev that’s won the league since 1992.shows what happens when a league gets corrupted, obviously that’s more political than bigotry but same results

Yep, until such a time that a Fergie type character, with an axe to grind against the arse cheeks, manages a provincial club.

He never took second best at Dons or Man United.

Otherwise the only way a non arse cheek club is going to win league is a) if the arse cheeks fuck off to England or b) foreign refs are employed.

Yes. Unless there is substantial investment in a significant number of other clubs in the top league, and I can't see that happening any time soon with that clown Doncaster at the helm, Happy to accept sky's pocket change for a TV deal (I assume that the top two teams still split the majority of this) and barely manages to get sponsorship deals. Scottish football desperately needs teams like Aberdeen, hibs, hearts and Dundee United to be capable of putting in a challenge, however due the the powers that be, the game in Scotland has over the last 20 odd years been engineered to ensure that only two clubs can win.

So apart from these odd occasions, how have these leagues gone over the last, say 15-20 years?

Ps inter are hardly a team with a small budget...

The evidence points to that being the case.

For someone else to win it, either there would have to be a serious alteration in the rules to restrict their financial advantage (extremely unlikely)........or a club up here manages to attract a seriously wealthy new owner who lobs in massive wedges of cash (and the SFA don't suddenly decide to then change the rules because of it to protect the interests of their favoured duo).......or the arse cheeks fuck off to a new league elsewhere (without having the rules altered to suddenly allow their colts sides to progress through the league system)

I think it’s possible but need to get very lucky with recruitment and Celtic and rangers have a bit of a dodgy season. Our biggest problem is that it won’t be long until 1 if not both are in the CL every season while we can’t even make the conference. It’s all very well then saying we benefit from a strong coefficient but the 5m benefit to us if we qualify is outweighed by OF getting a extra 40m each. I’d rather none of us got into Europe as it would hurt them way more than us.
