Of course it would be a bad thing. It would be a total disaster and the Dons would never be the same again. Rangers or sevco came back from the bottom. Why not Aberdeen. It could be the kick up the ass the club needs. Link to comment

Once our record of never being relegated has gone we could just become another yo-yo team. Link to comment

Don_Corleone
I wouldn't fancy our current team's chances in a relegation scrap, nor in trying to scrap their way back into the SPL if we somehow did manage to get relegated. No fight in them. I think our main hope for the rest of the season is that there might be a couple of teams even worse than us. 1 Link to comment
BaaBaaRedSheep
Woody was wrong, relegation would be a bad thing. However we are now 10th, albeit with some headroom above 11th and 12th. But if we are closer points wise to these positions come the split wouldn't fancy our chances of avoiding potential relegation. We really are shite, and have been shite since DM's latter period in charge. A Turnbull like clear out required in summer, no question. 1 Link to comment
Jigsaw666
Let's just get to the end of this abortion of a season and see what Goodwin has about him in the summer. All clubs go through peaks and troughs and this season it's our turn. 1 Link to comment

Brown, Gallagher, Ojo, JET, McGeouch, Kennedy, McLennan, Woods, Ruth, Devlin and Jenks all need jettisoned asap. I’ve no doubt missed a few. What a fucking mess Link to comment
The Boofon
4 games left until split. huns away = 0 points Hibs home = 1 point Dundee away = 1 point Ross County home = 3 points Will be in bottom 6 playing meaningless games but not relegated. Link to comment

Agree. Question is can we use 5 shite meaningless fixtures to start to try to build something? Or do we tread water then begin our season with a startlingly shite league cup group performance. sigh
Goodwin just needs to see us safely through the remainder of the season - without relegation - and then he can put his own stamp on the team with his signings - at least, we hope they are HIS signings! No chance of top 6 this year though. Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
Exactly. Do I have more faith in Goodwin to do that than Glass? Yes. Link to comment

Well everything else has turned to shit under Cormack so why not this? If Dundee or St Johnstone go on a wee run like County have done it could get really serious. They don't look capable at the moment, thankfully. Link to comment

NorfolkDandy
Since 2014 the highest amount of points gathered by the 2nd bottom team was 36 season 20/21 if I'm reading correctly - On that basis 2 wins should be enough That was as awful as awful gets last night Link to comment
wicker83
Agreed, finally succumbing to that shitey League Cup group stages boils my blood. I was hoping we'd stay out of them until the format was scrapped. Link to comment
Stoneybloke
This stupid thread keeps popping up. What is the point of it? Are there actually supporters who think it will be like a breath of fresh air that will sweep through the club and revitalise everything. They must be crazy if they do. Link to comment

We could end up being the Scottish 1FC Kaiserslautern historically big club and former powerhouse in Germany who also had clowns running them and are now in the German 3rd division. Take note Cormack. Link to comment
Betty Swallicks
We could, but we won't. The season has been an abortion, the Glass appointment was an abortion but some of the over reactions are ridiculous. "Swapping places with Cove" is brutal mongo (or attention seeking) chat. 1 Link to comment
shooftahmooftah
Relegation would be a bad thing, only because the present bunch of white flag wavers wouldn’t get back up to the premier ship for 5 years. Link to comment

Hopefully Dundee and St Johnstone continue their poor form. A mini revival from one of them and it could get scary. Link to comment

zeroisgod76
Only good thing going for us is that we're not the only team who's form has been awful lately. After the last game before the winter break we were 4 points behind 4th place (Motherwell). After going 9 games without a win we are currently only 5 points off 4th place and 3 points behind Motherwell who have miraculously been worse than us in the league over the past 9 games. It was me who said the bookies know what they are doing (noboby mentioned them never being wrong) and it was me who said we are not going down and that some folk were a bunch of drama queens with the relegation chat. All of the above is still correct. Link to comment
