Keeping tips meant for staff is absolute scum behaviour

Tbf the waitresses got theirs, we were meant to get like once a month with our pay, hardly recall getting any, but vividly remember a chef walking out with plenty and the waitresses always getting. Wasn't til a few years later I realised how much of a shit job that was, and how that wasn't normal lol.

Too many places adopting that ‘assumed gratuity’ service charge or whatever it’s called, pain in the arse. I tip when it’s deserved. Miserable dogs get fuck all.

The Chinese are planning to implement policies that will address the growing gap between rich and poor, an issue the West ignores.

Surprisingly, or maybe not surprisingly, their corporations are on board because they understand how this shit works.

I've always said Socialism, or variations of, is the only sustainable long-term policy.

"but when the push towards more companies publicly backing Xi Jinping's new vision first started, it did come as a "bit of a shock", one major Chinese company told me privately.

"But then we got quite used to the idea. It's not about robbing the rich. It's about restructuring society, and building up the middle class. And we are a consumption business at the end of the day - so it's good for us."

It's definitely interesting what they are attempting to do.

Will it stop inequality in a system that thrives on it? Will make poverty levels in China better than they are now? Even so, it then all becomes relative to the country you're in, so the problem doesn't go away, in a few generations the same problems might well occur.

What I will say is it's a hell of a leap forward and much more than the USA, the UK etc are looking to do. That idiot Boris yesterday was mumbling on about vague ideas of 'levelling up" etc, he's already been called out for being economically illiterate. China is a more advanced place than the USA and the UK in this regard. People lap up anti Chinese propaganda with such ease, though.

Hopefully we're about to go through a period of wages going up. I read about fruit pickers getting paid £20 an hour the other week as if that's a bad thing? We're a strange country.

Farmer in Norfolk offered folk up to £200 a day picking Broccoli.

Nae takers would you believe, too hard work for the lazy bastards on the dole, they'd rather sit on their arse all day and wait for their benefits to in bank..

I used to get £3.50 an hour working as a KP in a restaurant. Awful job. Boss was a hun cunt, used to run with the ASC but started supporting Rangers in the 90's and pretended he was true blue. He was part owner and him/the other chef used to keep all the tips to themselves. We were on buttons and spoken to/treated like shit.

It gave me a good idea of what the working world was like. Full of cunts and totally and utterly unrewarding.

Being a KP is a great student job. Should enable both your cooking and cleaning skills. But yes, you stink and you don’t really notice it.

Remember way back about mid 80’s after a hard shift KP’ing at Kippie Lodge changing and going straight into town. My mates sent me home as birds were not coming near us.

My point is though people moan about low wages then when they hear about wages going up they say it's a bad thing because there's a labour shortage.

Wages will have to go up hugely, I like many others didn't get a rise last year due to the state of the World, with the cost of living the old 2% a year won't cut it. Keep hearing how given time renewables will make it all ok, meanwhile Putin is dictating how much gas is costing. Have we gone completely mad, the fucking sea on our doorstep is full of gas. Get the fucking economy moving then worry about the climate, China and Russia don't give a fuck, our drop in the ocean effort to help is just hurting us.

Up to being the key word.

I could earn up to 50 quid an hour driving for just eat, I'd need a ferrari, empty roads and 30 flats in the same block to order at the same time, could be done though. Moral is no one is making that a day picking broccoli.

Out of interest stalker boy, do you have pictures of bluto all over your bedroom wall at mums? eye's torn out. You dribbling at the mouth shouting abuse at them for him being more popular than you? It honestly wouldn't surprise me, never seen someone follow a poster around like a lovesick teenage lassie that's been binned. Sad as fuck mate, he lives in your brain rent free. Is it cause he has kids and you can't manage? It must be something?

Could be heaps of reasons folk don't take that job.

I'd suggest earning the riches of £80 per week on UC isn't one of them.

I've never had a job where tips were part of it. I think I'd be kicking down doors if some prick was taking something meant for me.

Im quite angry on your behalf Consi if it's any consolation.

I was 14 and left when I was 16, final year of school. The guy who part owned it was a hun knob and heaps came through the door.

I could turn up stoned without them knowing so that helped keep me about!

#INDYREF2.Good man,Dayts.

You think the nats would be kind to O & G? They're in bed with the greens.

Nics won't worry about her heating bill, millions will, she has no grasp on reality. How will pensioners heat their houses? do they put on another blanket and wait 20 years till renewables can take over?

Country is fucked, get that climate change thing to fuck as well, will be lepers bringing new spikes from all over. Greta shouting blah blah, meanwhile the poor will be at home freezing, it's a fucking sham.

Agree with all that mate.  Sturgeon has ended the independence debate for the foreseeable. Tough winter ahead for the potless.

Oil and gas capital of Europe, we have it,  can't get it out for the greens and nats, even had Putin stepping in the other day to say don't worry we'll increase our supply. Price of gas up 600% this year. It's so obvious what we should do.
