Montgomery is such a strange one, nowhere near good enough for celtic. Was going to go to Kilmarnock, probably about his level and we sign him? Sounds like MacKenzie is totally fucked.

Just doesn't sit right with me, developing players for celtic?

We should never be doing that for either cheeks. This club should be better than that.

Even worse when we've got the lad Towler who could be recalled.

Yeah, just bizarre we want to develop players for celtic? He's not ready to play, that's why they aren't playing him. But the experience will undoubtedly be good for him but why don't we just develop our own youth? Can't understand it.

Montgomery is a good young player, I wouldn't be annoyed if this was a permanent or a loan with a view to a permanent- but it's not. He's just signed a new deal with Celtic.

It's a farce. A total bottom of the barrel scramble.

How the fuck can we claim to be trying to bridge the gap with the Glasgow two if we're developing their young talent?

Truly baffling, and the American cunt of a chairman will deservedly get his flack.

Feel for the lad as well because it's a good move for him, but he's going to get scrutinised much more because of all this.

Montgomery can play as a winger or at left back similar to Hayes and is a decent young player.

But i think it says a lot as to where we are at right now that we are jumping in on deadline day just a few hours before the deadline to take a celtic youngster who was thought to be going out to Killie to get game time in the championship to develop him. ?‍♂️

Have we not got our own decent young players? And if not what’s the fucking point of the youth system we pour money into.

Pointless crying about it now. He's our player for the next few months so we might as well get full value for our money. He's played 10 times for Celtic so he shouldn't be a dud ......    EDIT but if he does stink the place out then it's another nail in Glass' coffin.

Glass either doesn't rate MacKenzie (presumably MacKenzie's extension to 2025 was negotiated under the previous regime) or he doesn't rate his chances of staying fit for any length of time,

Towler and Ngwenya are getting experience at the right level for now. Ngwenya in particular should be looking to kick on in pre-season when he might just about be ready to push for a regular starting spot for us
