Delighted with the result. Well impressed by Bates who is coming on to his game. Superman doing what he does best. Interesting that we only had 50% possession. Wonder what Dazzy Dave will make of the stats.

Yeah, maybe Glass will get sacked if he doesn't improve the possession stats pronto.

Classic pundit talk that - "St Johnstone will try to disrupt us next week" - of course they'll be trying to beat us next week, that's the whole point in a game of football - they're hardly going to turn up and just let us win are they!

It was a good performance in terrible conditions today, and a good scoreline. I'm not going to get too carried away though as we should be pummeling Livingston and St Mirren every time we play them, especially at the moment when they are both utterly hopeless. Will see how the next few games go. Good stuff today though!

By disrupt, I meant they’ll be unafraid to slow the game down by giving away fouls in the middle of the pitch to allow them to get back and be defensively organised.

Davidson is by far the worst (although don’t know if he’s injured at the moment or not, he always seems to be hobbling around the pitch)

We're much more direct just now and happier to get the ball forward earlier.  Probably why Jet has came back into the starting line up as he's a target and it seems to be letting Watkins and Hedges have more freedom and taking the pressure off Ramirez to be the hold up man all the time.

Also more likely to try and hit teams on the break rather than recycle possession endlessly.

Hopefully a sign that Glass is learning and adapting.

Jurgen Klopp once said possession without purpose is pointless.

Dropping Ojo to RB to cover injuries has allowed us to play Watkins, Hedges & JET behind Ramirez. That makes a massive difference. Ojo is solid, but average and definitely not an attacking midfielder.

Horrendous conditions today, especially in the first half and some of the football we played was sublime. Special mention for big Joe Lewis, made a number of big saves at critical points in the game.

Haha come on, are you serious with that?

I was paraphrasing a wee bit but that was the jist of it. It was mainly about not being obsessed with always having the ball but pressing high and fast and championing speed in transition over obsessively keeping the ball without really doing anything with it.

Think it's in the Michael Cox book called The Mixer that I got for Xmas from the kids a couple of years back.

Opted for pakoras and a doner calzone instead.  The latter being a first for me.

What did you think?

A few months back, I tried a doner naan for the first time - I had always fancied it.

It was way too much, obv couldn't finish it.  Maybe if you didn't eat for two days and exercised vigorously during that period, you might be able to finish it.

Great win today in dreadful conditions, chuffed for Ramirez and Watkins.

I liked Glass' "we controlled what we could" comment, wrt the conditions.

Cant complain too much about conceding: as others have, said St Mirren are decent and they were pretty gracious about their hammering today.

Thought St mirren were actually really good at times. Great game of football.

I enjoyed the match today in what were awful conditions. A great performance and I particularly liked seeing the team hunting in packs to win the ball back on countless occasions. Energy levels were good and it was refreshing to see players bursting a gut to get forward and support our attacks rather than leaving Ramirez isolated up top. Another great performance by Bates too - could have made things tense if he hadn't been there to head clear off the line. Hopefully can keep this level of performance going and we can get Ramsay back from injury soon. Will be great seeing him marauding down the right wing again.

Thought it was ace but only got through half of it.  The rest is fridged for tomorrow.

Ojo is pleasantly surprising me at RB although I can't wait for Ramsay to return.

Joe Lewis is slowly getting back to the keeper we signed.

Full credit to both sets of players for an enjoyable 90 minutes in terrible conditions, I hope St Mirren stay up as it was refreshing to see a bottom 6 team come and have a go against us at Pittodrie (Livingston take note).

I dont think it takes any kind of specialist to know that!
