Think Longstaff has already been punted.

Kennedy needs to be on the first List O Deadwood that goes, though.

Devlin, Hayes, McGinn, Ojo, and McLennan all sucking up wages that could be used on effective replacements.

Add Samuels to that list. Also really unconvinced by Hayes whose passing has been abysmal for a while. His decision making is poor too. We need a proper clear out between now and the summer window.

Gurr can also join that list.

McGrath will be better than Jenks but as for the other 2 (I know you aren’t serious) I wouldn’t like to think we have as a club entertained the thought of signing those pair.
We need to dip into foreign markets and see if we can unearth a couple of gems.

The foreign market need permits tho, which generally means they need international caps which would mean we can’t afford them. We should be trying to sign all the best young Scottish players

4 wins in the last 5 looks decent and most of us would probably have taken that but we are still on the whole so unconvincing. And the fact is we lost the toughest game of the last 5 against a team we should have been far fresher than on the night.

The squad needs properly sorted out there's too much deadwood and too many injury prone players. Glass still has so much to prove but he will definitely get at least the full season to do so.

Sadly, all very true.

Fuck knows what we’ll do in January given the clusterfuck we made of the summer window.

We have managed to amass a huge squad, that’s unbalanced, ageing, slow & we could lose 6-7 players easily that would not be missed.

Honking performance - terrible. Hugely worse than the hibs game. That was relegation fodder, with a hugely depleted squad, we were playing and there was no difference in quality between the two sides.

So slow. Passing terrible. Forward decision making honking once again. 17 shots of absolute horror.

Looking through this topic, it would appear that we have a squad of second rate players with the level of criticism that they get. Praise is never given, and all the comments are negative. If it was that bad we would be propping up the table by now. The problem with the team is not the players, although some are better than others. They just need to operate more as a team with consistent organisation and positivity.

Agreed. A lot of support are negative nellies and drag the club down to their level too often. AFC should be more proactive in removing these drainers.

Defo need cover in central defence, as Gallagher can’t be trusted and in fact, I’d look to ship the baseball bat wielding convicted criminal out in January, if at all financially possible. Lives in Dundee so maybe one of the 3 struggling Tayside teams will take a punt on him.

Will be spring before Considine is ready and although McKenzie could step into that area, reinforcements are needed in there.

And agree;  up front and out wide are the other 2  areas we need to strengthen

He bides in Dundee?! Has it ever worked out for a player for us who bides outside of Aberdeenshire?

Apart from the 3 points, what positives can we take from this game? Nothing is my answer. Our play in the final third is terrible and our midfield is too passive. I’m not sure who it was who posted earlier but this type of performance is similar to McInnes near the end of his time at Pittodrie, a truly awful game to watch.

One thing you can take from the game is Humpty Dumpty griffiths can still score great goals.

Be cheerful folks….we got the 3 points today. Once the January transfer window opens it will be game on again to give Cormack, Gunn (remember him) and Glass the praise or stick they deserve regarding playing incoming or leaving.
What I am hearing though is 1 main player in the team is wanting away and it isn’t who has been reported as a transfer target for another club.

More will be spilled in the coming weeks….

We quite easily could make up a full team of 11 players that we need to bin sharpish. A team of 11 that would easily be relegated from this league & possibly even the championship

Like this you mean…

Woods

Gurr Devlin Gallagher Hayes

Ojo Jenks

McLennan McGinn Kennedy

Samuels

full team of crap and that doesn’t even include Longstaff and Jenks who are garbage, or JET

Griffiths does have a lethal shot no doubt.

‘I’ll need to see it again, but it looked like Lewis was trying to cover the other side expecting it to go over that wall and left too much space.

If he started centrally and had a full view of it, could he have gotten closer to it.

I only saw one replay of it haven not had access till after the goals, so happy to look at it again

no fucking keeper was saving that , beautiful strike that  swerved left and up into the net

That coupled with the fact that we’re all (the majority) miserable, northern cunts who would find fault with anything. It’s quite compelling in a way. I blame the weather…
