fine-n-dandy
Long(ish) term injury has to give him a wee bit of fear factor into accepting a new/improved deal now you would assume. Bird in hand & all that. Maybe my years sabbatical is coming sooner than expected ? Link to comment
graham
Connor Barron was first class on the training open day, plays like it is the cup final and so impressive thought he would be back in for Dumbarton game the next night. Instead given a run in that Falkirk bounce game as a wee comeback and probably wholehearted tacklel.Jim Goodwin rates him highly as the midfield creator, will be much missed these next couple of weeks and hope Connor is back in the midfield soon. sigh
When fit what a midfield - Barron and Clarkson in the middle, spraying the ball around, both trying to outdo each other for Man of the Match. Looking forward to seeing of they can play together, and bring each others game on as well. Link to comment

Dropping Mcrorie back into defence play two right footers in Defence? pushing scale out wide a player that doesnt cross? two right footers was something Goodwin saw as an issue last season? Why would you want two similar players in midfield? as it happens I have to question who is dropped for Clarkson never mind Clarkson AND Barron Link to comment

Would be great to have two creative midfielders in, with a solid defence behind to mop up when any mistakes get made. If both not firing well that day, or being over run by scottish aggression then sub one off for a more combatative CM. Lest try and pay decent football. Link to comment
aberdeen1970
Barron will take a few weeks to get back up to speed after his injury so this gives us a chance to be patient with him. Then once he's fit it will be a good battle to see which 2 or 3 out of the 4 manage to hold down the place. Folk worrying about how we fit them in are missing the bigger picture which is an improved pool of central midfielders Link to comment

To finish in the top 3 and get to cup semi-finals and finals we need a squad of players everyone will get plenty game time. The days of outfield players being guaranteed to play every week are over you need options which we just didn't have when Goodwin arrived hence why I never judged him on last season. Link to comment

IMO we don’t need Ramadani and McCrorie at home. Should be Ramadani and one of Barron or Clarkson. Link to comment

Most games should be so easy , we could do without a keeper. But maybe for the games against the arse-cheeks we could play McCrorie in goals ....he's the obvious choice seeing as the goalkeeper genes run in his family. Over to you Goodwin. Link to comment
