I’m sure it’s just the Daily Record messing but if there was even a shrewd of truth in this, it’s £10m or fuck off.

If we take in £6m for Fergie and Ramsay this summer, absolutely no need to even think about selling Barron unless it’s for life changing amounts of silver

Love how they think they can just ‘run the rule over him’ in the thinking they could come close to matching any fee for him we should expect that would have to be better than any club out with Scotland would offer. 
If we were ran correctly of course. 
Celtic should have learned their lesson with John McGinn. 
If they want top Scottish talent for us. They have to better any offers from elsewhere, otherwise we wouldn’t (or shouldn’t at least) entertain them.

This has to be a not for sale unless someone comes in with really, really silly money. If we're serious about competing at the top end and winning trophies he has to stay, bottom line.

It is but it has to be for the right price and to teams that aren't directly in front of us, we'd also get at least double what Celtic value him at if he plays another 6-12months for us at the level he was performing at in the last 6 months.

And I'd agree with you. However he only got a new contract 6 months ago. If there's any truth in these Celtic rumours, his agent will certainly know. And I think he would advise Barron against signing a new one with us on the strength of it.
