In all honesty you’ll be limited by daylight (lack thereof) and weather. You’d be best to venture in a 1-2 hour circle from Reykjavik and see what takes your fancy.

The nightlife is good, just don’t go out before 11 or it looks like Blutos local.

We’re not staying in Reykjavik. Chose to stay in the wilderness. 
 

Went to Gullfoss today. Spectacular. Loved the falls at Oxararfoss maybe even more though. 

Off down the south coast to Vik (loads of stops en route planned) tomorrow.
