'Patter' is weegie, so that explains a lot.

Coulson is here, he trained today so it will be announced later, other position I'm unsure it could be a central defender if Bates goes, it might be a striker is Ramirez leaves or another keeper with Joe going.

I would say Patter is more an Edinburgh/East Coast term. Far more broad/wide ranging (intelligent) than basic/narrow minded Weegie terms

Banter is a weegie term.

Just feeding the weegie ego saying all Scottish slang/terms south of Stoney are theirs.

Offs. You are using Wikipedia to try & support weegie greed at thinking they created everything ?

’Patter’ is definitely a word/term used far more in East coast than ‘latterly’ the weege. Weegies nicked a lot of slang terms from all over & tried to call them theirs & even deluded themselves into believing their own ‘Patter’

Boro fan here (been living in Aberdeen since 1982). Coulson is a decent signing, decent enough defensively but excellent going forward. Better in wing back or on the right hand side of the 3 in a 4231 formation. Can also play behind the striker.

Given his chance under Woodgate but then got unlucky with injuries and Warnock didn't fancy him and he's fallen behind under WiIder as we have better options there.

Could prove to be a shrewd bit of business for the Dons, was touted for a big move to Newcastle not long ago before the injuries.

Will certainly chip in with a few goals if he's given a decent run in the team. Definitely more David Robertson than Colin Woodthorpe.

On the right side of the 3? Not on the left?

Lets give him a chance yet. Lets see how the next 3 or 4 games go.

Of course.

Just saying I’m not overly confident based on what I’ve seen.
It’s probably been one big flap per game & that’s against teams who’ve barely had any corners or set pieces.

It’s not as if he’s small like Gary Woods was. He’s 6’5”.
He should be decent at dealing with it

Release from ‘Boro, last para looks like they ain't expecting the Lad back….

Hayden Coulson has joined SPL side Aberdeen on loan for the season.

The 24-year-old returns to the Scottish Premier League after a previous loan spell with St Mirren.

It will be the fifth loan spell for the Boro Academy graduate who has also spent time with Cambridge United, Ipswich Town, and Peterborough United.

Hayden, an England Youth International, who was a key part of our U18s double winning side in 2015, made his senior debut for Boro in August 2019 and has clocked up 49 appearances.

Hayden departs with the best wishes of everyone connected with MFC.
