Dundee v Aberdeen

Recommended Posts

Bench was completely hopeless for any options to try and win that game. Once Watkins came on that was it pretty much done as far as realistic attacking changes goes.  9 subs and only 1 that had any real chance of turning a game for us.

For a club that wanted to play attacking football we didn't half leave ourselves short of attacking players this year.

46 games since Darik got punted and we've managef five clean shets - and one of those was against Edinburgh City. Darik had as many in his last 8 games. What a fucking mess.

It has taken an almighty amount of shocking management (Cormack/Glass) to turn what a shite mess Mcinnes left into an undeniably worse shite mess. Ridiculous that even I can admit we would (whilst still being shite) be in a better position now had we stuck with Mcinnes.

None of what has happened since though changes the fact that Mcinnes still had to go. Only that we know that Cormack is untrustworthy & we cannot have faith in him improving on what we had.

Cormacks snake oil is slowly killing us so far. Hopefully he gets lucky & stumbles onto a potion that actually works in his bag of shite but I feel that will rely more so on luck rather than actual competence.

Maybe Cormack should have practiced his chairmanship on the lassies side (flashing his smile & smarm there) before trying to walk among the mens game with such bravado.

His bravado is 100% based on his wealth. He has fk all else to offer the team than money. Of course that money is great & we should be blessed with it but not if it comes at a cost via such pure arrogance & incompetence that it is so detrimental to results on the pitch.

It’s his ball & he decides everything & he’s taking all enjoyment out of the club because of his micro management.

Awful stuff from an Aberdeen defence that looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights as soon as Charlie Adam waddled on.

Two bog standard free kicks, and we were fucked.

I still say that our full backs are the problem areas. As good as Hayes and Ramsey are going forward, neither can defend.

Central defence is 100% the problem with our defence. If we had a competent 3 central defenders to play a proper back 3 we shouldn’t have to worry about FB’s defensive weaknesses. Hayes & Ramsay should be used creatively only. They are uselessly wasted in defence as neither (especially Ramsay) are defensive players

Yeah, he was sacked to try and change the outcome and get on track for top 6 and Europe. Exiting the cups early didn’t help either.

The clubs main target I believe will always be Europe and Glass was rightly changed out as that objective was increasingly becoming unlikely.

I don’t have a low bar, but a realistic one. This season was always going to be a transitional one, but I still expected we should be top 6 and qualifying for Europe (top 5) through that transition

There's no such thing as a 'transition' in football. The very word itself implies going from one state to another....in the football sense, it's used to suggest that the club will automatically go from being bad, to good.

But because nobody can say what the future will bring, there's no guarantee that will happen.

When we sacked Willie Miller as manager in 1995, nobody could forsee that the 'transition' would last until 2013, when we at last appointed a manager who could get the team playing.

There's absolutely nothing at all to suggest that this Aberdeen team will automatically improve next season. We might, but equally we could continue to struggle for years and years, just as we have this season. Not because we're going through a 'transition', but simply because we're utter pish.

You say that there in no such thing as transition in football but then say the ‘transition’ after Miller lasted till 2013.

Football clubs are essentially always in transition, changing each transfer window, but one of the key elements of major fundamental change is the coaching team and their influence of how they want the club to play.

so we were in a transition after McInnes and indeed we are again after Glass.

Regan  Charles cook,  will break the red dandy hearts next week.  Lewis has been missing his bearded boyfriend mchunis, and doesn’t look like he gives a shit between the sticks , and will be heading for kilmarnock next season.   Ferguson dreaming of a super club, and not concentrating fully on his game for the dons.  Ramsay in the same book as Ferguson.  Quicker they are all sold the better for the club.

"McHunis" is about as funny as watching yer maw give liney-ups out the back of the social club after the Sunday night bingo. Absolutely tragic.

Transition?

Just a word to excuse a completely hopeless managerial appointment and his pathetic signings.

We had a good opportunity last summer with a clear ish deck and completely messed up.

And bollocksed up a chance for European group stage football and anything between £3m-£5m including corporate, TV, tickets etc.

All because of a vanity project.

You’re welcome Hearts.

If Brown was playing today Adam would have been clattered early doors after coming on, no question. We are a bunch of absolute fannies. Lewis is done. Fine servant but he is costing us big time now.

Brown did none of that whilst he was here.

Certainly not from about October onwards.

Agree that Lewis needs replaced though.  Was a great keeper for a number of years. When he used to come for a cross etc I used to just assume he’d catch it in a calm manner.

Now, I worry any time anyone gets near our goal.

Our goals conceded from the number of shots on our goal is horrendously high. Not all down to Lewis but the number of times he’s flapping in “no man’s land” this season is unreal.

Pissed off I stayed up to watch that. Feel sorry for people who have to pay to watch that shite. Terrible football match, the pitch, the lack of skill on show and to top it off a fat pensioner comes on and controls the game. Scottish fitba is shite.

Couldn't give a fuck about next weeks result but I'll watch...cos that's what you do.
