Interesting turn this thread has taken. 

Your perception of McGhee may well depend on how old you are. If you're old enough to remember the great days of the 80's you'll think of McGhee has an integral part of one of the best Scottish sides to ever play the game.....much of what we did and much of our success was down to McGhee. He could often be unplayable in the box, and even now it's worth watch some clips of games to see how brilliant he was at holding up the ball and using his close control to create chances. 

A true legend as a player. 

If you're lucky enough to be younger, you'll only know McGhee as a complete cunt of a man who should have been sacked by us 10 minutes after turning up at Pittodrie and telling everybody how devastated he was not to get the Celtic job. 

He's a pretty odious, bitter man who somehow still manages to get a gig in the Scottish game. But he'll always, always be an Aberdeen legend.
